Thank you for the insights. Been contemplating to get one after my Stan Smith's had given up after good years of use!😁
Stan Smith! Classic!
Campo's are great. I bought a pair of Esplars too and found them to be quite stiff. Everyone says they need wearing in. After a couple of hours wearing them and they felt great.
So both the Campo's and the Esplar's look great and are comfortable to walk in.
Nice! I wasn’t sure what to expect with the alternative materials but they’re great shoes.
The life span of the outer sole is about 5-6 months if you wear it on daily basis doing office work, then it would crack & decompose.
I haven’t heard that. Was that your experience?
I like the design and look at the top and i think they're quality at the top. but the sole seems to be thin in the forefoot area. i tried them on at the vena store and those sole in the forefoot area seemed near barefoot kind of. i wanted to get some, but that sole felt too thin, not sure how long it can last walking the concrete in a city. i think that's one area of improvement they can make. i am currently trying to see if a cobbler can add a thicker sole, which should be possible. if i can add a sole then i will consider buying some. so great shoe, but the sole especially in the fore foot seems to be too thin.
Yes, they're a bit flat as well. I think a good additional insole might go a long way.
So I’ve been wearing these for a bit more than a year. If you think $20 extra over Thursday is a lot then I’m not sure you care much about out people or the environment. Mine are going strong and that literally comes to less than %0.50 per week since buying mine. Comfy and built well!
50 cents per week is excellent!
I wonder if I should buy Campos or Air forcre 1. Which would you recommend? I feel like the af1 sole is thick and nice, so you will be a little bit taller but how is the sole in the campos? Is the sole much thinner than the af1?
Great question! I’ve actually never owned a pair of Air Force 1s. Hopefully someone else here can answer that.
Airforce 1 has a thicker sole here but the Veja has a better leather quality.
Great review of a clean looking sneaker.
I'd pay $150 to $200 for a pair of well-made, sustainable shoes made by people paid a fair wage.
Looking forward to your next video.
Thanks Brandon!
Would you recommend this shoes? I can't decide because I read a lot that it isn't durable compared to cheaper shoes.
Great question. I can't speak much to their durability. But, if you're worried about sinking that kind of money into a minimalist sneaker, The Thursday Legacy is a great value (in my opinion) and seems to be built a bit tougher.
How's the sizing for the Campo? I'm usually a size US 9 in New Balance / Dr Martens
I ended up going up a half size and was happier with that.
I’m also a size 9 can you help me choose the size?
Hola soy de peru, el detalle es que son pegadas y no cosidas, se despegan con el tiempo los costados?
I haven’t seen that happen.
Manufacturers abused "sustainable" by using all synthetic with the price of leather,,all of these are marketing to fool consumers
The marketing term that amuses me most is “vegan leather”.
@@StrayReviews appalling
Females really buy that marketing point tho, the use it a slogal
Are you reviewing sneakers for 40’plus ?
Is 40’plus a brand or do you mean for over 40 year-olds?
I could not care less about sustainability.
Great eco credentials, but they are so so badly made. They fall apart.
I didn’t know they had a reputation for falling apart. Bummer.
@@StrayReviews yes my guy, they really do at the soles. Not good. Love to support them as I love their eco work, but quality is super poor
I love the Veja Campo and the eco-friendliness that goes into its production, but I have to agree with you on the quality of the sole. I was sitting on a swing once (there were small gravels on the floor) while on a call and just moving slowly back and forth (not with any force) and my Veja Campo sole opened slightly.
Comfort-wise, it is good. I wear it all day, no problem. I am considering buying another, but I am trying to decide between the Adidas Samba OG and Veja Campo.
@StrayReviews please review the Adidas Samba and compare them to Veja Campo.
Thanks
Consume less the best way to protect the environment and your wallet 😂😂😂😂
