Hey girlie! Will you pray for me? My hubby & I have been ttc for 8 years only to find out that my fallopian tubes are damaged & my doctors say the only way to conceive is via IVF, but to do that he wants to remove my fallopian tubes altogether. I'm scared to do the surgery bc I know the docs says I have zero percent chance of ever conceiving naturally but I still hold onto hope and prayer that Jesus will heal me. If I get them removed then I really do have zero percent chance. I turned 35 last month, my time is running out. I haven't had a positive pregnancy test in 18 years (I got pregnant at 15, 3 months after my 16th bday I had her via emergency cesarean at 22 weeks gestation.,she lived for 27 beautiful hours) I need prayers for guidance on whether I should do the surgery or continue on, but I'm so scared that I'll never get the chance to make my husband a father. He deserves to be a daddy & his parents deserve to be grandparents. I know we dont know each other but I feel The Lords love through you. I have to say this. I love your channel. I am going through some rough stuff in life right now. And I've been serverly depressed. I've been a sad person too lately. Leaving an abusive relationship. Feeling really horrible about self as a mom and person and my weight.
I love watching your videos they make me laugh even when I've been crying most of the day. They inspire me to love myself even if I can't find one reason to. I love you! And I am so grateful for every video. I am so motivated to have the laughter the joy the realness you have in your heart and soul. I would definitely go with Buffalo plaid in both places. It would make the rooms look cohesive, especially since it’s a small space. You can return them! I do it all the time, lol!
I would get some drawer organizers for the get ready station, that way everything has a spot in the drawer and it all doesn't get mixed together and messed up!
Its lookin good girl! For the curtains, I would just get solid black panels and put one on each side of the sheer white ones you have now. It would add contrast without clashing with your plaid ones.
So proud of you for returning the curtains. Amazon returns are pretty painless & they return your money very fast. I agree with Shelley on the curtains & you can get the black panels at Walmart. The white pillows would look good with black farmhouse saying on them. Amazon has the pillow covers with farmhouse sayings for cheap. Ive been working on decluttering myself, its a work on progress. Oh I am so glad someone else mention the $2000 curtains too because when you look at the overall room with those curtains , it is way too busy . Not that the curtains were that terrible . They just weren’t for that decor that she has going on already . The whole room would have to change .

I’m on team Buffalo check curtains. They would look so nice in living room. I would definitely be calling the higher ups at Big Lots about your couch. Especially since you purchased the insurance plan . A gift card, what a joke. Fifteen hundred bucks is a lot of money for a couch that didn’t last 5 months. Your home is beautiful, love the shiplap, faux brick and your living room fireplace is amazing!!! Oh, and your hallway, love it!!!!

Buffalo plaid curtains in the living room for the win!!! That would pull everything together so well!!! Wherever you got your kitchen curtains is where you need to get your living room curtains. It’s definitely not too much 😊 I would also be calling Big Lots corporate and asking for a refund because you’ve had that such a short amount of time and it’s got so much damage already. $14-1500 is a lot of money upfront!!!
Merina, get out your contract for you couch warranty. It should say in it exactly what it covers and what they will do in the case of the couch falling apart. A $1,400 couch should not fall apart in 4 months. That is no small amount of money. I am not an attorney but whatever it said in your contract on the day you bought it should stand. A gift card is not acceptable. Call Big Lots and speak to a manager regarding this and tell them you want your money back, even if it needs to be prorated. (You all ready did this) but tell them you have a UTUBE channel and you intend to let them know how what type of customer service you received. As someone said call Big Lots head quarters and talk to them about your situation. I hate to see you get taken this way.

I disagree about the Buffalo check curtains being in the living room. I think you need the Buffalo check ones in the living room too also l think bringing your curtain rod down to the same height as the ones in your kitchen would make it look uniform and the shelf by your entryway is a bit too long…why not try out some blinds in the window? I think you will figure it out. Your choices of what you have been doing to your home have been great choices….don’t let it stress you out! It will come out right with patience! Hugs!

I don't know if anyone mentioned this, but your drawers would function better if you put containers in them to separate all the little things. Dollar tree is great for this, but a no cost way is to cut down any kind of cereal boxes or any other food boxes to the size you need.
Return, return, return!! Especially since you don't like them!! Love your content.
I like the get ready station but maybe if you go to dollar tree and get some organizer bins for the drawers I think that would work really well. It’s a great idea to have that station. Great Job!!

Everyone has their own journey. I’ve been a minimalist for over 10 years and I took it way to far for a while. I’ve learned to adjust to enjoy life and not live in a empty home. I now enjoy a few decor but I’m still very minimal and I love where I’m at now. Just remember you don’t have to fill every draw and space just because they are empty.

I love how honest and real you are. I am watching your dilemma with the curtains and I say return them. Don't live with something you dont love. Also, I disagree that you can't use Buffalo Check on all the windows. It will make the space more cohesive and it's a classic pattern that will never go out of style. Keep up the good work!

My mom stopped to watch part of your video with me--she never does that! She said you need to go to Dollar Tree to get some small drawer bins to organize the "Get Ready" station 🤣. I told her I would pass that along since you read the comments. Anyway, you're doing a great job decluttering. I was thinking when I heard those curtains cost you $200, good Lord, I hope she sends those back!! I would carry the Buffalo plaid into the living room because then the who wall will be cohesive. In my opinion, it would look better if the curtain rods were all the same height, though. I'm looking forward to seeing what you end up putting up, as I am only 25 minutes in and paused to leave you a comment ;)
You can throw an ice cube in the dryer to get the wrinkles out of stuff. It works great. I say trim the top of the shiplap and then shorten the shelf so your curtains hang straight.

I'm a minimalist. And it makes my life so much easier. I've got it down to each room takes 10-15 minutes to clean. I don't even have alot of decorations. I'm a housekeeper and the last thing I wanna do I'd come home and spend hours cleaning.

Lady you give me motivation, I spent 13 years in a violent marriage where I was not a wife but God I am 42 now with a beautiful family and a Godly christian husband and I. Just now learning how to be a homemaker so it is never too late well of course we hear the trumpet then we ain't gotta worry no more 🤗☺️ absolutely love this channel !
Decluttering and organizing really go hand in hand. Having dollar tree bins on hand help you to declutter and organize and then you can move on to the next thing. You won’t have to go back snd then put things in bins. Will save you time. Hope this helps.
Honey you do a wonderful job. It's real life babydoll. We have families, and messes, and junk, and all the things. The fact that you're present in being a wife and a mama makes you a wonderful homemaker whether the dishes are done or not, the floors are mopped or not, the dinner is done at 4 or 7. You're there and you're trying and that's what counts. ❤

You should use the same curtains throughout your mobile home it looks way nicer put them back in the packet and say they didn’t fit they gave you the wrong size
Merina hit up your local dollar tree for drawer organizing bins. 👍🏼. They have all different shapes & sizes. They have ones that would fit perfect for all your nail polish & other things in your drawers. It’s sounds weird typing about your drawers…🤣. But you get me. 😉 Maybe figure out what all you want to organize in the drawer first then you’ll have a plan & idea before you go to the store. Also get a paper towel holder (the one that stands up) at dollar tree & you can put all of the girls hair scrunches on it. I used them for my daughters nail polish back & the zillion scrunches she had back in the day. Thanks for another great video friend you did a great job!! Oh how I love you. You're so motivating. And so pleasant to watch. You've come so far on this channel. You're doing just fine as a homemaker. For a mantle I decorate in 3s. Start on the left with your candlesticks, then your greenery, then try the faux books. That way you have talk to short and a set of three. If you don't like it keep trying. It's all trial and error. Love love this video.
I agree about getting a new couch. Having them "repair" it, well...that's pretty much a band-aid because the rest of the couch is still made the same way. You'll constantly be "repairing". 🤦♀️🙄 I love that hair-bow hanging thingy... I had to learn how to keep my house in order, too. It seemed like I was cleaning constantly and the house was still a mess. I started following Clean Mama on IG and her tips doing one major thing a day. It works for me even if I slack off. I respect how you've previously said that school work and Shane time come first. Your kids will remember that Mom took the time for them versus kept a perfectly spotless home. Also, my grown daughter has ADHD and it helps her to make lists. Otherwise, she ends up with half finished projects and chores all over the house.
Here is a tip i used to do when my kids were young for keeping furniture from banging the wall. Put a scrap piece of wood behind the back legs of the couch between the wall and the leg. When someone sits hard and pushes it, the legs hit the wood against the baseboard instead of marking up the wall. Hope it helps!!

I am always finding all kinds of stuff shoved in my couch and under the cushions...... it’s never ending like Mary Poppins’ bag!!! I thought I was the only one who had this going on in my house.... thank you for being real and showing us real life mom life!!! 😊💕
Put a pool noodle at the top of the back of your couch and push the couch close enough to the wall to hold the noodle up and it will keep a couch from making marks on your wall.
Beautiful mom life! Get rid of the new curtains, the sofa and the clutter. Now your house looks amazing! Before you buy on Craigslist first see yourself the sofa, no bugs, no smell, no stains. Excellent job!
Oh phew thank goodness you returned the curtains! You don’t owe Amazon anything to keep that product. They have a section specifically to handle returns so you could look at it like returns help keep people employed! $200 is a lot to swallow if you don’t like an item. I agree with the others who have said they think more plaid would be fine. I really like symmetry and things to be matching so that would be my choice. But like you say it’s your house & home and you have to be happy.

Remember, returning something to the store is not inconveniencing anybody but maybe yourself... The people at the store just doing one part of their job when taking returns. They don't mind because it's literally their job. You crack me up! In a good way. I'm 67 years old, I used to be a spotless housekeeper. Anymore I am a hoarder! I start projects and never finish it. You're doing a good thing trying to get rid of things. Organizing is a must! Even tho I have too much, I know where it is if I can get to it. Keep going! It never ends with kids!
I love how bare it looks, it feels so peaceful and like somewhere I could cosy up and relax!

The living room is looking good! You mentioned it looked bare, but I don’t think it does. I found that over decorating made me buy way more stuff than I needed and things would look and feel cluttered again so quickly. I think that you should try to keep it “bare” until after you finish decluttering every part of the house, then mindfully purchase decorations for specific areas (like you mentioned). Loving your series so far!

I admire your transparency. Not many of us would go through our homes and show “the good, the bad, and the ugly!” Some ideas that have helped me are: for every new thing that comes in something old has to go out, (clothes, decor, etc.), also making sure things are accessible (I put food, Q-tips, hair clips even office supplies in mason jars. No more fumbling with boxes/bags that appear full but aren’t. Empty boxes...yes, even cereal boxes, can be used to organize in drawers/cabinets, plus they’re free-ninety nine! Waiting to purchase something for 24 hrs has also helped me. It’s amazing what you won’t buy after you have thought about it. Asking the children to be responsible for their stuff helps also. Even the youngest kid can help sort laundry, pick up toys (again, one comes in, another goes out) and be a contributing member or team family! Is it perfect? Heck no, but they’re learning and it gives them ownership/accountability. I also read of a group of friends that met and brought decor, clothes, jewelry, whatever the theme and had a swap party. Everyone got something “new” to take home to freshen up their homes, closets, etc.
Sorry for your couch. We almost bought one last year from Big Lots, but it was on back order...Covid-19! After reading the reviews, NOT ONE GOOD REVIEW, we cancelled our order!

Marina you are doing a wonderful job. Having raised my boys and being very involved in church activities it was always a challenge to keep the house clean. But one day I met another mother who helped me get my priorities in correct order. Raising healthy,happy, confident children who know they are loved is more important. They will remember the time you spent with them not if the dishes or laundry was done. Hope this encourages you to keep doing what you are doing. Your a wonderful mother!
I love pillow covers. As much as I like to change up my decor pillow covers are the way to go. Cheaper and don’t take up as much space.

I would continue your hallway wall into the front room, I love how your hall turned out. Grey and white curtains would go good with the buffalo check, but I also think that if you put buffalo check on the other 2 windows it wouldn't be to much buffalo check. Stores usially refund in the same way you paid. I think she paid with gift cards so makes sense they would refund on good cards.

It looks really good!!! I hold on to so many things for sentimental value, but I have been decluttering as well. I agree with you on the curtains, they just did not look right. Personally, I would do the buffalo plaid all through out. We have an 18×80 mobile home that is set up the same as yours with the combined living, dining and kitchen. I did a beautiful teal green solid curtains through out the whole area and a buffalo plaid on the small window in front of my sink, all from Amazon. I think all together for 10 panels and the short kitchen curtains, it was around $90.
You do a very good job with your housekeeping. I lived in a 14 by 70 with my husband and 1 child.
Try drop cloth for the curtains use with clip curtain rings so no sew. Look at harbor freight, they are inexpensive and they actually look really good. And if you get tired of them you could use them for their intended purpose.
They help insulate, too!

I have really severe anxiety and ADHD. The clean mama method for homemaking has REALLY helped me. I found Fly Lady way too overwhelming for my poor little over worked brain.
Routines are my saving grace. If you have a routine (trust me simple ones that take 2-5 minutes are gold) that will help you to keep from slipping and help the monkey mind that is the anxious ADHD.

Just go with a sheer all white curtains throughout your livingroom dinningroom problem solved and it will make your home feel alittle bigger. Also make all the curtain rods the same height

Agree, the curtains were not a good fit. I've done that too. Sometimes you just have to hang them up to make the decision. No longer than you've had your sectional, I'd see if they will replace it. Looked so nice when you were finished.
The curtains are gorgeous, but I’m definitely not a minimalist with drapes. There’s gotta be some plantation blinds or some pull downs behind em to filter the light more.
Ok so I don't like the curtains at all and to me they weren't worth $10 a panel much less $50.
I do agree they needed something behind them. I am a private person and don't like the idea someone can just glance up and look in my house.
Not to mention blocking light and heat out of the house.

Looks great! I love pillow inserts and covers. Using them helps me save space. Ikea has the 26x26 feather insert and they ship ❤️
I refuse to use feather pillows because of the cruel and inhumane way they obtain them. They strip the birds and ducks, while they're alive, of all their feathers and it causes the birds and ducks great pain and stress. It's extremely cruel. So, I will never buy anything goose, down or feathered.

I like the curtains you had originally in the white. I would buy more panels and add to them so they are fuller. Like 4 panels on the front window and 6 on the back window. Love all the updates and especially the hall update.
We have bought a mattress from big lots we saved the receipt and after a year when it started to break down I called and they exchanged it for a brand new one with no hassle. I wonder if yours would do the same with the couch.
