- The National Hurricane Center has designated Invest 91L as Potential Tropical Cyclone One. The FOX Forecast Center is monitoring this storm, which could become a Tropical Storm and bring heavy rain to Texas later this week. #foxweather @HurrricaneHQ

This kind of coverage makes everyone less likely to trust weather forecast. "Here is some footage of Hurricane Idalia, it will nothing like this." Really? Then why show it?

It's not a hurricane because it's not strong enough. "Cyclones", "Hurricanes", and "Typhoons" are all just different names for tropical cyclones that reach 74mph or above.
