  • Carats, this series hurt, but I also think it is an important series for not just Carats to see, but fans of K-Pop. The live a rigorous lifestyle and push their bodies past their limits for us. I think sometimes we don't recognize all that they do. I can't believe had bad it got for them during this tour. You could tell that they were all absolutely exhausted and in need of rest. Their schedule was absolutely insane. I'm glad I was able to watch this before the concert. (also sorry for how long it took. It took 23 hours just to export and that doesn't even include how long it took to edit.)
    Also, my next thing I am trying to get out is this Heng;Garae reaction. I hoping since I left it alone for a couple of days, the file is clear now, but we will see.
    Lastly, my concert vlog should be out either tomorrow or the next day!

    Scoups went on a 4 month hiatus (Nov 2019 - Feb 2020) to seek treatment for his anxiety/mental health problems. Fallin' Flower was his first comeback after returning.
    Be The Sun tour feels much more different compared to Ode To You tour. I've been to both and now the members seem more relaxed, like they are just trying to have as much fun as possible while still knowing their limits.

      I'm glad that people who were able to attend both can see the difference and I'm glad they put in the extra time for the members to rest this time around.

    Fun fact: Yoon Hyelim and Bumzu has been with them since the beginning(pre-debut days) up until now. The boys grew up with their guidance and Carats are always thankful of them.🥰

    Yeah this tour was particularly hard on them. If I remember correctly, they were also preparing their comeback "Fear" and doing Japanese promotions while doing the concerts. So it was just a lot of jam packed schedules and top it all off, there was definitely some sort of cold/flu going around the entire group during the tour so most if not, all of them also got sick at one point or another. I am glad Seventeen felt comfortable enough to show us fans this side of them, the not so glamorous side to being an idol/performer/artist. It shows that they're human and their bodies aren't unbreakable machines, they will get exhausted and hurt, and they showed us how they cope and what goes through their minds, etc. But at the same time, you can tell they do enjoy performing, being on stage, and doing what they do. And I'm sure this isn't something just Seventeen experiences, tours are exhausting, you're constantly on the move, being around hundreds/thousands of people, different environments, different timezones, all in a very short amount of time. This is why I don't "hate' any Kpop groups, yes there may be groups/artists I don't vibe with their music/style but I get that they're all putting in a lot of hard work for their fans so there's no reason to wish misfortune or throw hate at any group.

    I saw their show in Oakland and it was fantastic. They scaled the show down from the Seoul concerts, which was a smart move (though I still mourn the loss of Boom Boom, lol) and totally understandable. It looks like they are deliberately trying to put in time to rest and see the sights and enjoy each stop. S.Coups had a stomach ache for our show, and he let everyone know at the start of the concert, which I thought was already a pretty big change from them trying to suck it up and hide it. They have been constantly reassuring concerned fans on weverse that they are ok. I'm glad all 13 will be at the next show after the TX ones. I hope they continue to pace themselves.

    The whole Ode to You concert was also roller coaster ride in part of the carats and seventeen as a whole. During their tour in Manila, there were already covid cases in Asia. The organizers,Pledis and the government really on a 50/50 decision that time, to push the concert or not. So those days before the actual concert is so mind blowing that's why health declaration and wearing of mask is part of the requirements during the concert.
    Before the concert here in Manila, the members had a good rest before the date on the concert so the hype during the concert top it all but what deliberately shock us is when midnight comes, Plexus announced that the tour ends in Manila coz of the danger of increasing cases of covid and possible exposure of the concert goers and also seventeen themselves, right after that there is several lock downs on europe, korea and other stops especially their first dome tour in Japan.
    Hit the Road is a part of Seventeen that they cautiously done to show what really is the side of the story for every artist whether in their free time, on schedule, their concerns, daily life and love to their work, members and fans.
    Seungkwan said before that this Hit the road is just the tip of an iceberge, they trust and believe carats that in a tiny bit of information about their hardship backstage is like sharing to their trusted friend about a secret they never told before. Yet the members doesn't want carats to be sad or hurt thru the series, it serves that the members themselves shows that carats is also part of their success and a part of the family.
    I really appreciate that you also love and appreciate seventeen not just by their talents, personality but also embrace them as a whole.. Thanks Emily 😍😍😍

    Watching their process of making music , preparing for concerts, and even the technical aspects and difficulties behind the "magic" of Seventeen was a roller coaster of emotions the first time I watched this. Watching this again with you makes me appreciate them even more than I already do.

      I think it gives people a reality check of how hard it really is to do what they do. I'm glad I was able to react to this and I'm glad they created a series like this to show all sides of idol life!

    Thank you for your reaction! I watched Hit the road many times, especially my bias Minghao's. He exposed a lot of inner thoughts sincerely, which made me realize how expressive he is. These contents may not be very attractive, but really precious. I feel that he took great care to this series. Of course everyone did this.

  • @purplepotato1778

    I still remember when Wonwoo fell while singing 'Flower' because the water bottle rolled and was stepped on by him. It was during the Ideal Cut (2018) tour and it was clearly visible before my eyes. Because that's when Hit The Road came out, and they were telling the story behind the scenes. I have a lot on my mind.
    And I'm sure all idols try really hard even though they're very tired, but there are weird people who hate them for no apparent reason. Whereas before their work as an idol they are still ordinary people, a human just like us.
    There are idols who wear masks and act just for the sake of image, money and fame, but there are also those who are very innocent and show themselves without any exaggeration or cover-up.
    I hope you guys can tell the difference, and don't fall for the fake rumors made up by the antis.

    I always get a very positive encouragement from SVT, not only their musics have healed me in the past, but just by seeing at how hard these guys work and how they live their life, I sometimes feel ashamed that my life is probably not even as half as tiring as theirs, and I haven't yet even lived my life to the fullest like they do. It makes me think three or four times before complaining about my life or job, knowing there are these type of people who live a much harder and busier life. These guys hardly ever show how stressed and tired they are to their fans. It encourages me to complain less and try to live my life with a more positive mind.

    • @emilysreacts
      @emilysreacts  ปีที่แล้ว

      I completely get what you mean. I think it's okay to complain every once and a while even if someone somewhere may have it harder than you. It's just part of being human, so don't feel ashamed! They definitely encourage me as well to have a positive mindset and live life to the fullest and chase what I want most!

    They ended the Ode to you not because they were exhausted, they specifically ended the tour because of covid. Sadly, they didn't get to a Europe tour (maybe I'm biased because I'm in Europe). For now, they have no tour dates in Europe planned, and with enlistments starting maybe next year I'm not sure if we will get one.

    • @emilysreacts
      @emilysreacts  ปีที่แล้ว

      I still don't think they would have been able to do an entire other leg of tour in the condition they were in. If they had the capability, they probably still would have gone, but it definitely would have been a struggle for them since almost none of them were at 100% health. Hopefully Europe will be able to see a tour from them soon!

    • @NightsStormCat
      @NightsStormCat ปีที่แล้ว

      @@emilysreacts yes it would probably been hard for them but I also think that they were not as sick as it shows in hit the road because a tour of a month is pushed into small videos. They did struggle but they are also professional performers who know if something is to much and they can’t go on.
