but wait, you just opened cc in ep 1 means you understood the prologue? 😂 or did it not just come out while recording the prologue?
As a performer I can confirm that that is a thing. I think it's because when there is a smaller crowd there's a bigger chance that you can see everyone. When you can see everyones reaction it becomes more frightening hahaha. For example the worst thing ever was when I had to do these evaluations in school (I went to a music school) and had to sing in front of 4 teachers and one of them would stare at you the whole time.

to recover from this and watch something fun, seventeens buzzfeed interviews are super cute and short!

Comming from a small and broke company really took a toll on their mentality, at the beginning they were always afraid that this year might be their last or that the company would finally break and they would have to end it early and so they had to give it all.
So even after all this years (and all the money they've made both for themselves and the company) they still keep that stress of "we have to do our best because it might end tomorrow" and sadly they end over working themselves.
Believe it or not they take more rest now, after the whole hiatus thing with Scoups and Jeonghan, they have slowed down a little.
all units are super talented, but i really like the performance unit songs (partly because their choreo is *chef kiss*), im gonna recommend some unit songs below:

I’m not sure how long you’ve been into Kpop. This is my 13th year now. Conditions have actually gotten so much better now for idols, for the most part. I remember years ago when it seemed every other day you would hear about or see some idol pass out on stage. Diet restrictions are still tough, especially for girl groups, and they worked out so hard on barely ate anything. And companies pushed them to perform. And the emotional stress was brutal too. Companies finally started succumbing to fan pressure to treat their idols better and get them proper medical and emotional treatment after idols started committing suicide. I think international fan pressure helped change things, too. Korean fans still had that “all idols must be ultra slim” ideal for a long time. Once Kpop became popular around the world, the weight standards loosened up a tiny bit (but not much). Pledis actually is one of the better companies out there as far as treating their idols mental and physical problems. And they let the boys EAT. I’m grateful for that.
Truth. I mean, there are a lot less reports of staff hitting trainees and idols and sexual abuse than before and a lot more action when these things do get exposed.
100% get that. I'm still relatively new (about a year and a half) into kpop but I've seen enough and read enough about things that have happened both in the past and recently to see that things are steadily improving. My comments about Wonwoo being allowed to rest were more about how he felt he owed something to the fans which is something you see in so many artists both in and outside of the kpop world. I have every respect for someone able to push through those levels of exhaustion to keep performing to their audiences but sometimes I wish they would understand that we as fans would much prefer it if they took a break and rested 😅
Next episode is Scoups :( it was the time when he had an anxiety.. performing on stage and being a leader.. . and took 3 to 4 months on hiatus.. :( it was clearly very hard for him.. i can't wait for your reaction on those..
Fun fact: S.coups said that 96liner are introvert line.
So maybe the next episode will confuse you. Just so you know Scoups went on Hiatus you'll know why soon also jeonghan went on Hiatus you'll also know why. This is not to spoil you but I think you'll be confused if you dont know this

This tour was brutal for all of them. They all got sick or got run down at some time or the other. I saw their Dallas concert, and my friend and I noticed how tired and pale a lot of them looked between songs. They still rocked it out, but yeah, you could definitely see they weren’t feeling well. I also attended their first US tour and their was definitely a difference in how the looked compared to this tour. You’ll see more of their illnesses as you see more eps. They just kept passing it around.
I feel you when I watched Wonu's episode. I think you'll cry in DK and our boy The8. I didn't expext those sides of The8. Gonna need to be updated on your reaction to this Hit The Road. No worries, you got me till the end.
Did you just watched without the subs? Can you understand/speak in Korean Language?
Ahaha no, I had to re-record the screen after I filmed because the audio was a mess but I forgot to turn on subs for the first video and a bit while I did the re-record. My Korean understanding extends to super basic knowledge of the alphabet and a handful of words and phrases 😊

Since you're basically a full Carat now, I'd suggest listening to our anthem: Shining Diamonds (if you haven't already 😁) It's from their debut mini album 17 Carat and it's where our slogan and name came from. Required listening for every Carat ahahahahaha (It's also why you see ppl welcoming carats into the fandom with "Welcome to the diamond life" because the intro of Shining Diamonds goes "Slip into the diamond life" hahahaha)
