  • This video is about a suggested procedure to install the new 2020 DF Rudder Post
Please note: that this is done at your own risk and is NOT covered by warranty.
if you currently dont have any issue with your rudder on either boat, this install is not neccessary, just an alternative to a DIY solution allowed by the class rules

Thank you very much again, Chuck ! Really hyper interesting and precious. (from the south of France)

Good video on the new ruder post. Replaced on two boats today one was easy and the other(painted hull) was a bear. The new parts fit much tighter than the old and dry fitting is critical. had to scrape all of the paint off to get a good fit with the new parts. Suggest a circular file , 320 sand paper, and some tape to protect the hull. All the wobble is eliminated from the rudder, great improvement

Any chance you could do a video on rigging the dragon force 65, i'm struggling to get mine rigged correctly from out of the box as a newbie.

Interesting! . . but due to "my sick fussy nature", I would be obsessed with the "rudder to hull" alignment . So in this regard I would want to - "dry fit the new parts" then " insert the rudder" check the perpendicular alignment (rudder to hull) as well as the alignment with the "Fin" . . . have a beverage and contemplate for a while . . just so I'm not overlooking something - then apply the adhesive ! . . . . IS THAT CRAZY OR WHAT ? Do I need help ?

Thats exactly what I did, the nice thing about the DF boats is everything lines up nicely and the nature of the new post system and its fit make it almost impossible NOT to line it up correctly! The only really tricky part is making sure the angles on the fittings are angled correctly to match the top and bottom of the hull contours
