To be honest, I didn’t like the show at all. I’m old school and I couldn’t tell the difference between any of the young female performances. All the twerking, asses out, and horrible songs on samples was too much and in my opinion hood. Not impressed at all. The show is definitely geared towards the younger generation.

Hey Auntie, did not watch all of the BET Awards because I really do not like award shows. They are very boring and too long. But I will say I loved Lauryn Hill and her son. She knows how to put on a performance but the age gap is differently a real thing. I noticed most of the audience did not know the words to her song "Lost One". I'm not a fan of any of the female Hip Hop artist these days (the Hip Hop music is whack these days). Taraji did her best but like you said, it's way to long and she was getting tired of the foolishness.

People were tastefully dressed and they carried themselves with dignity and respect. I loved Donnie Simpson! He had a great show on the network. Sadly, It has reached an all time low! I saw the BET awards for an hour. Thank u for mentiiong Usher speech. It was very good & showed his humility. He also mentioned in his speech on forgiving. I am 66 & too much of the females having their butt out & shaking it. I guess being classy no longer exists.Thanks for telling people to vote & not only for the President & all elections. I get upset when people say they are not voting. Black people & women had to protest, fight & many died just to have basic rights as voting.. Supreme Court is not surprising. No one is above the law & the decion gives Trump power should he get elected to do anything he wants as a Dictator He wants to be like Puttin. He will never get out of office & he will delegate to kill anyone that he wants along with removal of all agencies of the government. Such a different world. Lord help us. Overall, I did not like the BET awards. Technically, Usher is too young to get a lifetime Award. He's 45 & haven't even had a mid-life crisis yet. The women wore a bandanna & a rubber band. Bring back class & people who can actually sing & perform without twerking while dropping it like it's hot. It was basically soft porn. Men needed to honor Usher, not hoochie mamas. Usher cussing through his speech proves he didn't deserve it in the first place. Like Lauren Hill's performance. BET awards/Source awards made us look bad as a people. Last year watching it.

Hey Auntie, did not watch all of the BET Awards because I really do not like award shows. They are very boring and too long. But I will say I loved Lauryn Hill and her son. She knows how to put on a performance but the age gap is differently a real thing. I noticed most of the audience did not know the words to her song "Lost One". I'm not a fan of any of the female Hip Hop artist these days (the Hip Hop music is whack these days). Taraji did her best but like you said, it's way to long and she was getting tired of the foolishness.

I stopped watching The BET Award shows right around the 2000’s. When Robert Johnson owned it, I didn’t miss a show! People were tastefully dressed and they carried themselves with dignity and respect. I loved Donnie Simpson! He had a great show on the network. Sadly, It has reached an all time low! I hate it for the entertainers who had to endure the craziness. I will have to watch the highlights/clips of “the good segments”.
