The Voice was my favorite show but there have been no new artists signed after being on that show. One of my favs on The Voice was Cam Anthony. That boy could SANG! I forget what season he was on but he should have been signed by someone. He has true talent. Just recently, the winner of The Voice was Asher Havon. Another very talented artist. I’ve realized that a lot of these shows are on for entertainment purposes only. Why have them if they can’t be a stepping stone to talented artists being discovered? Again, I don’t watch The Voice on television, I watch on TH-cam and I’ve seen some outstanding artists.
I was devastated when Michael died, though I knew he was struggling with a serious drug problem. Been a fan since The Jackson 5. They were my first concert. I saw Michael solo a couple of times. My daughter’s birthday is 6/25, so I was in a celebration mood, then I hear about Michael Jackson. I was on the computer and watching TV at the same time trying to see what happened. My daughter came home early from work, when I told her. We canceled our dinner plans and watch his videos and listened to his music as a family. When Prince died I was through. I’ve been a fan since 1979, when he came out. Saw him in concert several times. I was looking forward to his Piano & a Mic tour. I still celebrate his BD playing his music. What these 2 performers meant to our culture at the time. Crossing over, making “others” take notice of our music. With Whitney, making MTV play their videos, opening those doors. There will be forever missed.
The I am Celine was so very good. Yes raw and I applaud her for her honesty. I cried for MJ but was devastated for Prince. I was that girl who couldn't go to work the next day and cried as if I lost a family member. He was the GOAT. Anderson's new album is Why Lawd? with producer Knowledge. Malibu was his album that blew up in 2016. It was critically acclaimed. I think Silk Sonic will be back considering that both Anderson and Bruno are in serious relationship trouble and need to repair their images. It will be a couple of years from now.
That's right, the Malibu was released 8 years ago and he's doing his retrospective tour. I love that album and it was my first introduction to his work. As for Bruno, he need to focus on paying that gambling debt. 😆🤣🤣

Reid, and Babyface. He was also a part of LaFace. I worked with him. I met Prince I call him, Skipper. We were good friends. My brother from another mother. He was shy, kind, talented, and gave, and have so much money to charities. Every city he played he had his people find out what organizations could distribute money to the needy.
