You seem nice. It comes across in your videos. My estranged auntie Barbara had a wooden gall bladder. She referred to it as her 'Tunnock n' spice'. She eloped with a seaman during the unseasonably cool autumn of '07. My father, a worshipful man of limited imagination, never forgave her. I feel he was cross with her not because she left, but because she didn't take him with her; maybe he liked the idea of a life at sea, or just the seaman. I will never know. Keep up the good work.

Gonna give this a go on my upcoming project;)
Instead of using brushes for spreading PVA, use a clay/model shaper tool instead. The silicon tip spreads it effectively & it's really easy to clean too
Silicon brushes from the kitchen tools section are also quite nice.
I wouldn't mind seeing a jig video and love the easy over pour fix just a shame you don't sell your own resin
JIGGS YES PLEASE BUDDY So many ways of doing things but Jiggs are a great way to save time and get it right every time.
50/50 mix of varnish, pva & water in my old days at school equals 150%. Love info on any aids to making wargame scenery.

Yeah I agree Luke check your sound modulation as it comes and goes in places as does your voice over. Regarding the water effect how high a statement could this make , say a slight incline downwards for even the most undulating surface, water is never flat and relies on what the bed has in it , stones and gravel and the likes. Over all simple as cheap as Chips! Cheers Mate!!
Hi Luke, another great video using your scenic supplies. I just wondered if you had promoted them on any model railway forums/websites. I would imagine that some of your products would be useful to them.
One small thing, would it be possible for you to say what colours/mixes you use. I'm colour blind so need all the help I can get. I weathered a 1/48th scale Mustang once and proudly showed a friend my work who said it was very good but gently told me I had used a red pigment instead of brown to represent mud splatter. Doh!

I love the water effects! I'm about to do a similar project and have a question. Is the clearfix just clear acrylic caulk? Is that the same? And you also mentioned you mixed it with a spirit? What is that or can you elaborate more on the mix? I will be following this tutorial in a few days, thank you!!!
I'm attempting to start a business including modular terrain, and modular water features are the thing I have not yet managed to figure out how to do consistently. I'd love to see how you handle jigs to speed that up.
Hey Luke, love your videos but was wondering for a 40K sort of table how would you do water at a hive sprawl. Because that water would be really dark and like sludge would you use nuln oil for something like that, what would you recommend?

If you do a Jig tutorial, will you lash down your lobes to stop them flapping around when you are dancing?

I would have made a 90 degree river bend tile or even two so that you could have a really flexible routing. Also could have one that is a lake for the river to dead end into.
What varnish are are you using in your PVA/varnish/water mix? And what proportion are you using of each (50/50 varnish/glue diluted 50% with water?)
Just tried this on a flexible river segment and the making tape didn't have enough surface area to stay up.
Needles to say everything is now stripped and ready to try again (it was looking awesome until then so thanks for the tutorial). Any suggestions on how to seal up the ends? My first thought is to super glue lollipop sticks on, but wondering if there's a tried and tested method.

Great vid. The music gets very loud whenever you're not talking, so it was a challenge to power through the vid lowering and upping the volume.

I have a question? Have you ever model raindrops before and if so do you have a video or can you please make a diagram video?
I've found that clear fix has a slightly tacky rubbery finish which stray flock will stick to. Is there something you do to avoid this?

Is there a good way to add surface bubbles to this? (Like a toxic swamp kinda vibe?) Using like a hypodermic needle to put a bit if air into the surface to blow a bubble that would harden? Ever tried something like that before?

I know luke is no longer active on youtube - but does anyone watching know where we can get MDF base plates like whats being used in this build? Would love to do that instead of foam but dont know where to look for those.
what's the fine(st) grade sand that you can use on 1/35 (1/72) scale models? What is it called in homedepot stores?

Mate, try out a clear polyurethane resin, takes about 10-30min to cure(of course gotta get fast setting one like clearcast 325

Love the content mate and the tutorial is top notch as always. I'm not a fan of the new intro and montage music.... seems a bit weird to me, doesnt seem to suit your channel. Also feels like a 1980s theme which reminds me of thatcherism :-S Just my opinion though :)

Hey man. You said to seal it use a 50/50 mix of varnish, PVA glue and water. Is that 25% varnish, 25% PVA and 50% water? What is the percentage of each?
I'd assume equal measurements

Not every battlefield needs a river but if you don't have one any settlement is going to need a well which is something i rarely see on wargames tables.
