      I think it also raises a political point. Our last president ran on the slogan of, "Hope and Change." The current president ran on the slogan, "Make America Great Again." This video highlights the fact that humanity as a whole is greater than it's ever been. That the "good ol' days" weren't that great. Yet I still personally know people who long to return to the 1950s, 1850s, or even the 1650s.

      Nah. They're the same species as Jeff Sessions and Steve Bannon. "The pre-war South was a utopia!" and "The Founders are the only true patriots to ever live. American peaked at the Revolution and immediately started to decline."

      I mean of course, how could Americans elect a RAPIST? I mean I saw that on CNN news, president was definitely talking about non-consentual rape in public and Al Franken was right about him. Why should he even resign if there is a REAL rapist in the white house. CNN news are always right, so as Al Franken, also did I mention Weinstein? He is the outmost advocate for "women's rights", he is also right about Trump. Hell what I bad year.. All those innocent victims are now being prosecuted, while the true rapist Trump is still in office

    • @minhajul2756
      @minhajul2756 6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Dark EeveeXx People didn't live to be 30 often. Basically if you didn't die as a young child you'd live a long life of about your 70s. But the child mortality rates were so high it brings the average down to like 30 so the part about your 11 children dying of disease is pretty accurate

      My grandfather says the exact opposite, saying how people have no idea how good they have it today, and how no one would be able to handle it with how bad it was in the past. Saying how no one knows what it's like to work all day and only get just enough to pay for a loaf of bread, how no one lived in real houses, it was all makeshift houses made out of whatever it is you could find, how if he lived in the tin shed he currently has, he'd think it was great and almost like living like royalty(mind you he does have it set up decently, with tables, chairs, distillery, bar, fridges, etc). Also how everyone had to hunt or grow most of their own food because there wasn't anywhere near enough money to actually buy all of your food, and having a proper bed was just a fairly tale that couldn't really happen in his mind. He also had never seen running water inside someones house until he was in his mid 20's. He also goes on and on and on about how lazy everyone is nowdays.

    The fact that we live in a time where most people have the possibility to worry and criticise our politicians(and each other) in an instant even among social classes, instead of being blind of what is going on and have only the limitation of worrying surviving day by day on our own, shows that humanity has evolved from the past.
    We always worry about the bad future and hate the one we have currently because we TODAY have the ability and possibility to worry about more things that we were not simply even close to be able to worry about in the past.
    Knowledge gives more worries, but knowledge also gives more ways to find solutions to the extensive worries we are developing.
    The day to day worries we used to have are simple human rights of today, the worries we have today hopefully will be simple human rights in the future

    I love your videos so much, and I was going to have a laugh at "when we think of the future we don't think of war" thinking this was an older video. But no, that's literally all we think of, with the president of the United States literally flaunting the US's nuclear arsenal to North Korea, if people don't think war is even an idea, they are ignorant to how irrational these people can be. More importantly, although we haven't had a "Great War" or a "World War" we've been going at this war on terror longer than some viewers of TH-cam have even been alive, I know we've been in it since I was young, and I don't see it ending with the way leadership on both sides is going.
    The rest of your video is great, but I feel like you're not being honest here about war in this world... Sure it may not be as devastating as other wars, but it hurts us as human beings all the same...

    Just 100 years ago we didn't have indoor toilets, toilet paper, washing machines, microwave ovens and etc. etc...life is pretty easy these days compared to the past. People worked from sun up till sun down. Now most of us work 40 hrs a week, have time for relaxation/vacations and live longer. Best of all we now have the internet for answers to most of our questions.

    This video is very agravating. Yes, times are much better than they were in the past but it doesn't mean that times aren't extremely difficult now... Why would I compare myself to the ancient societies of the past if they had no technology to speak of and different goals?
    The most ironic part is that despite all the advancements in our societies, we still make the same mistakes as the people before us... *There truly is nothing new under the sun* ...

    I think of modern civilization as "humanity after/during the experiment" because the last 100 years of history have so little in common with the preceding 8,000, that modern lifestyles and ideas are unique and new enough to very easily be considered experimental.

    EQUALITY! We should all love each other no matter what race, religion, gender, looks, or who we love. We’re all humans and we all have feelings so let’s start treating each other that way instead of treating those who are different from each other with disrespect! We are all different and we all have feelings
