Its a shame how unprofessional this interview was conducted. Nelly really showed professionalism and also provided insight on how things may have happened in the group. Good interview overall however the radio station may have lost an opportunity to get more celebrities due to the main guy holding the interview.

This is me rewatching after Ali's interview on Vlad August 2023. I must say Nelly's version makes more sense and Ali pretty much confirmed what Nelly is saying with a twist. The question that has not been asked is when did the rest of the Lunatics get out of their publishing deal? Ali can say he wrote all of the songs he wants, but if he wasn't trying to do a end around the publishing company it wouldn't be a situation. The company thought Ali was going to blow and his buy out was much more than 75k that Nelly had. Ali was hoping that Nelly would just break bread and they would split everything behind closed doors. Nelly would have to pay taxes (money cut) and the Lunatics are living without even paying taxes.
The jealousy started when Universal only wanted Nelly. Thats not Nelly's fault, but the group will never get over that. Grown men askin "why him and not me?" Its because Universal isn't stupid. They know a star when they see one and they were right. Get over it and show Nelly some love and respect!

Nelly opened a whole school in downtown St Louis for audio engineering and making beats. I was working at a grocery store downtown St. Louis (Culinaria) serving deli meat when I signed up for the school. I graduated and moved to Las Vegas with that degree and that's how I support my family. When I was signing up people told me it was a “fake” school and they won’t help you find a job. He got the best around the country to run the school. Carl Nappa (*NSYNC, Gwen Stefani, etc) Wyshmaster (I’m on a boat, brass knuckles) Alonzo “Trackstarz” Lee (right thurr, yeah by usher) all were teachers at the school. I knew all I needed was the knowledge and I was good because Im not waiting on anyone to find me a job. So I moved my wife and 4 kids to Las Vegas and now I’m working at 3 properties and helped build the new Circa Las Vegas. He also brought my cousin out to Drais and let him perform his single at his residency. I went out with them that night and he was courteous and inviting and I literally had the best night of my life.

It is a crying shame that one of the best interviews in the history of hip-hop happened to be handled by some of the most amateur people with microphones you’ll ever meet. This is the reason why STARZ don’t always try to help out the little guy. Drink champs or Vlad TV and this is the best interview you’ll ever see.

I think the real reason why they never did solo projects is because they are still signed or should I say someone still on 100% of all of their publishing and whatever they do they have to fix that part of the business first before they move forward. The only one that took a chance was Murphy Lee and that’s because I think he got out of his situation because he was too young when he signed that contract. Nelly is a very smart brother and I respect him for this interview. Just like someone else said he didn’t have to go on the show. But sometimes in this business, we have to clear our name because people are so quick to throw dirt on it.

It is a crying shame that one of the best interviews in the history of hip-hop happened to be handled by some of the most amateur people with microphones you’ll ever meet. This is the reason why STARZ don’t always try to help out the little guy. Drink champs or Vlad TV and this is the best interview you’ll ever see.

I think the real reason why they never did solo projects is because they are still signed or should I say someone still on 100% of all of their publishing and whatever they do they have to fix that part of the business first before they move forward. The only one that took a chance was Murphy Lee and that’s because I think he got out of his situation because he was too young when he signed that contract. Nelly is a very smart brother and I respect him for this interview. Just like someone else said he didn’t have to go on the show. But sometimes in this business, we have to clear our name because people are so quick to throw dirt on it.
