I only really started cooking in my late 30's....and once I did, I couldn't stop watching M. Pepin's cooking videos. He is an absolute treasure.

Back in 1996 Jacques Pepin and his wife, his brother, and sister-in-law were staying at the same Club Med in Martinique as me and my wife's family. He actually taught my wife (a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America) how to windsurf.
I've made Chef Pépin's Pumpkin Gratin & it is to die for.

Jacques is a real show-off, without having any intention whatsoever of showing off. He's a master craftsman in the truest sense of the word. It's utterly fascinating to watch him work his magic in the kitchen.
