- On Saturday, December 18th at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, Jimmy will be hosting his very own college football bowl game called “The Jimmy Kimmel LA Bowl.” He has been working on ways to make the experience exciting, and one of the most important parts of any game is the food. So Jimmy and Guillermo got some expert help from Chef Jon Shook & Chef Vinny Dotolo from “Jon & Vinny’s” restaurant as they set out to create the perfect sandwich for Jimmy’s game. When I was going to school (college), there was a great sandwich shop just down the block. My favorite was Roast Beef on Rye, Extra mayo, dash of mustard, pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, and onion. mmmm. Served hot.

The perfect sandwich is:
Swiss cheese, turkey, ham, roast beef, topped with bacon, lettuce, tomato (pickle optional) vinegar and oil mixture and just a bit of mayo.
Mine is steak on sourdough, onions, lettuce and mayo

When I was young, my dad would always make peanut butter and honey sandwiches for us. I know it's not exciting, but it is the perfect sandwich to me because it brings back happy memories🥰 Now my son makes them all the time to take to school or work (he's vegetarian so they work well for him!), so it's nice to see the tradition continue on!
