Wow... Such insight
Why would you get this over 4080? It draws almost double the power and performs only slightly better at select games.
You're right. Slightly better in the games you select and then out performs by a significant amount in most others.
Also with all the shady practices and anti consumer crap Nvidia has been pulling recently I didn't want to go with them.
And has more vram, 4080 has only a mere vram of 16 lol
Bought the same card. I replaced my 6900xt Red Devil. The Nitro+ runs hotter & is much louder than my Red Devil. AMD has problems with idle power & multi-monitor support. Connect 2 or more monitors & idle power draw was around 100-140 watts. GPU vram would stay maxed out. Couldn't play VR with the new 7900xtx. Driver's are terrible with VR. Returned the Nitro+ & bought the 4090. All my problems were solved. AMD needs to allocate more funds to their driver dept. I'll stick with Nvidia for now.
I'm hoping to see improvements in drivers as well. I've noticed a few quirks, but I also have never had an AMD card. Just wanted something that wasn't Nvidia this time around
even 850w is little you need 900w but to be safe go with 1000w
