I got an old 12 valve cummins dodge that's had 30 years of farm abuse. Watching you do such good work is motivating me to make the old truck I got look better. haha
Dam dude the truck looks awesome with the flat bed along with the lights you put on the back, it's definitely sets it off. Your welding skills is great to. So young , but you are blessed with many talents. Take care and stay safe always. 😊👍
Good work! In my state, Michigan if you put a flat bed on struck it would have to qualify as commercial vehicle with all the rules for that. Like the work you do.
a satisfying day of weld.. it is so familiar. I am over in maine.. I'd add one plate to the front 3 rivets of rear spring hanger on inside of frame, both sides, put bolts after rivets removed thru new plate and weld... call it a truck again. I got a big piece of stainless for free years ago.. my gmc is at 387k with the same rockers. it can be rewarding.. this northern hell. Glad you got some heat with the bigger welder. I just bumped mine up recently.. super easy going.
Around Ohio its easy to find beds that are taken off brand new beds for 2 grand where truck upfitters take the factory beds off and puts on a service bed or flat bed. New ones will fit just a different body line.
Yup. Guy I know in SE OH buys several brand new 2500’s. takes bed off immediately and puts utility beds on and practically gives away the stock long beds
A lot of good, used parts for trucks are getting snapped up. Had to get a windshield for my '99 F350, took two days. In talking to the guys in the shop, as new & used vehicle prices keep marching ever higher, part of the demand/scarcity is the fact more rigs are getting repaired & fixed up
In 2019 I could get a cat eye Chevy in pretty good condition for probably 1500 dollars and there was plenty of them now I can’t even find a rusted out shitbox for under 3000 lol same with dirt bikes seems like every part is on back order
@@jonthelamb4549 I have a '95 Ram 1500 I bought 6.5 years ago, for $1200. 117k miles, standard cab, short bed, 318, 4wd- everything worked but the cosmetics were awful. Interior done, new tutone paint, tire, full maintenance. I did put a cat on it (the honeycomb was rattling), found a new radiator in the junkyard with tags still on it, popped in a water pump/hoses/t-stat, starter, alternator & idler pulleys and fuel pump (consumable parts that are real likely to break after so long), Mountain Ryder XT II shocks (Rancho), 7" LED driving lights, 3" amber LED foglights in the factory bumper pods, new sway bar poly bushings & HD end links, new rotors (slotted & cross drilled), new pads, new brakes hoses & fluid, chassis cleaned & painted with John Deere chassis pain (not the bottom of the floorboards- want to show how rust free it is), Pioneer head unit & speakers, tinted windows...it's going to be sold & I can see it pulling $8500 pretty easy because it is clean & no issues
End product here looked fantastic. Watched all 3 videos of this one in full, thoroughly enjoyed it and learned a few things along the way. Hope you made a good profit margin on it with $4,500 into it. Considering it’s a 7.3 w/ 160K I’m sure you did though. - Glad to see you put on that anti-rust spray as well on the frame, was thinking the same thing on it as your other subscribers I guess. Great content. Look forward to seeing more that you upload.
Good job! She looks a whole lot better than before. You're definitely getting better at welding but you need to prep your surfaces better. A good flap disc on a grinder makes a world of difference when welding two things together. Right now, I'd say most of the structural welds holding the flat bed to the frame are contaminated. I would have also mounted the flat bed lower but that's just me. Still gj!
From what you started with, the truck now is a day & night comparison. It's not perfect and the pass. back door is wavy, but hey! It's all replaceable at the local Pick N Pull if the buyer chooses to do so. Someone's gettin' a good deal, hope you were able to profit!
I wish you called Jeb to help with lifting the doors. Really shouldn't do that solo. Otherwise, it looks like you did a great job. Hope you made a hefty profit on this one.
Hey Rural Vermonter, I’m going to be traveling Northeast in a few weeks and was wondering if you had any recommendations for sight seeing in Vermont or any other part of the region? Thanks.
Man your going through all this work you may as well give the frame some love too . sand blast and some paint and the truck would be worth a lot more
I came here to say the exact same thing
A little rust management and mitigation on that frame might increase the value of that truck.
Clean the metal it will help alot when getting a good bead
It really is amazing seeing you get all this work done without any fancy tools or equipment. On top of that you do it all by yourself, solo.
You remind me a lot when I first started working on cars your work is improving a lot the new welder is going to help a lot
Another satisfied customer. On to the next project!
Great job, especially as a one man job! That will sell in a hurry if it isn’t already sold.
Very very nice video:) and once again so nice to see you doing much longer videos lately please keep it up I love your videos!
New welder - check, welding shield - check, work crocs - check. RV is ready to for work. Great vid as always.
It's great that you are putting in work into this old girl! Love your videos!
I’d give that frame some love those 7.3ls are legendary me myself I couldn’t bring myself to sell it 😂
Nicely done! You transformed that truck and added quite a bit of value in the process.
Good work! I love watching you do what you do!
Dude your videos are great to watch while having dinner 10/10
Nice job on the truck! It was pretty funny when the dent puller broke on you lol
Really cool video series to watch. Save more 7.3’s!

You get that thing cleaned up?
Nice one..another winner. Mate your welding is getting better, and the new welder helps. All the best from the UK
Great job! Id be proud to drive that rig!
Welding test: hit it with a mallet.

And usually by yourself.
Nice job on the body work, it’s really coming together.
This really turned out nice. Great work!
Great job man! I got that flipping bug too. It gets expensive quick. But great job with the truck. Looks amazing!
You do good work brother and you’re honest… Good Man.
Looks good ready for the job again
That flatbed looks great.
Lookin good there, Bud! Fun to watch someone else work for a change, nap time now.
Cool! Needs some mud flaps to keep rocks and debris from hitting cars behind you. Also needs a rear tag mount and light. Keep up the good work.
Good to see you advancing in skills.
Awesome job. I'd love a truck like that.
Nice job on the truck. There is a person out there who will be delighted to buy this truck and put it to some good use.

You have a lot of work in this one. Hope you get a healthy profit at sale time.
Excellent job
Gods luck with a sale, hope you can get a good deal 👍

Thumbs up for the man down!
So many beds in my area 4-5 guys post online alot of take offs and they ship them in from AZ and CA. Flat bed looks good

RV....looks 1000% better. A lot of work, but should be profitable!! Have a good 4th!

Someone's gettin' a good deal, hope you were able to profit!
You should get red side marker lights for the flatbed, they're technically required. As well as side and rear facing red reflectors
Great job
What a small world. That dude Roma is where I got my bumper for my f250. Dudes cool af. Did a sick bed on his own truck
Great job! I would have rolled on some type of RINO/Linex bedliner on the lower part of doors rather than rattle can.
I think you should have put 45° braces on those upright supports to give more rigidity???
Regards from South Africa
You foreal welding with Crocs?! Absolute madlad
Wise to invest part of the profit in the business, good decent tools and equipment for future projects.
How was the weather in Londonderry? I love that Londonderry air.
Still have the dodge 6 speed?
When the dent was finally pushed out it busted open the bottom of the door skin and crapped out rust lol
Nice!
Did these rocker panels just go over the original ones or did you have to cut them out
I wish you called Jeb to help with lifting the doors. Really shouldn't do that solo. Otherwise, it looks like you did a great job. Hope you made a hefty profit on this one.
Cant go wrong with Hobart or Lincoln. My brother got a 140 Hobart Arc welder about 10 years ago. Not a single problem
You should of defo cleaned that frame up. Rust proof and all back would looks great 👍
Damn it looks really good now
To make it look good you should bed liner it from the body line down
Do you register all of the vehicles to get inspected?
what about the dakota project?
How much did you pay for the flat bed? Looking to head up to NH and check that place out
It was about 2k
Truck looks much better!
Thoughts on the Ford Lightning
kinda cool, i wouldnt buy it though
Do you have to disconnect the battery from the truck to protect electronics ?
Nice crocs
Hey Rural Vermonter, I’m going to be traveling Northeast in a few weeks and was wondering if you had any recommendations for sight seeing in Vermont or any other part of the region? Thanks.
Haha that door is toast, hahhah :)
Any update of how much you sold that truck for ?👍.
