It's really cool how the Russian's and American's are working together to set crazy raw records. Just insane strength from these guys. Making raw powerlifting famous again!

This is great! Considering how young he is, his already doing 700+ with a pause and another 10-15 years to make improvements, I don't see why he couldn't touch 800lb in the coming years. If his joints hold up he will be the first man to hit the 800lb raw bench. I can't wait, I want to see him get the record before a injury from the heavy pause reps.

He may even do a 1000lb raw in 10-12 years. Eric spoto benched 500lb in his early 20's his around 36 now. He added over 200lb to his bench. Krill could as well.

Hunter Stroupe Lol, that's not how it works. The higher up your strength goes, the slower the gains come. When you get to his level, you can work for 10 years and gain 10 pounds. I hope he can push the record closer to 730, but he got to 694.5 pounds in competition 4 years ago and he has since gone up less than 25 pounds in the last 4 years. He'll likely break the world record, but 1000 pounds raw is beyond human capability. Hell, 800 pounds raw in competition is pretty clearly beyond human capability with today's drugs.

PurpleNightmare52 Thats exactly how it works. The record in 1950 was 400lb on the bench. 17 years later Pat Casey pressed 615.5 lb. In 17 years the record jumped 215lb. Even after the roids. The record jumped when Jim Williams pressed 675 lb just five years later in 1972. Also Krill has added way more than 25lb in 4 years. when he done the 719 with a pause he was not at his max then. He can't press his true max cause its to risky. When your holding on to 700lb, 10lb ain't crap. His max could vary 30lb day by day depending on how he feels bro. My max vary's 10lb weekly. 10-20lb on 700lb thats like 3-4 ounces on a 135 bench. He can't even feel the differance. Only thing his muscles know is thats its heavy and nearing his max. Scot mendelson already done a 780lb in the gym in 2005. I believe him cause his almost 50 and still does 405 for 20 on his videos. Eric was doing 405 for like 23. ct says you live in snap city.

Hunter Stroupe You sound like a teenager. The record on bench in 1954 was 500 pounds, but that's simply because the bench press was a relatively new exercise. You brought up Jim Williams benching 675...43 years ago. So the record has, therefore, gone up 47 pounds in 43 years. And actually, you're incorrect. Kirill himself explained that some thought his 719 looked easy, but it was absolutely the most he could have done that day, and adding even just a few pounds could have made him miss the lift. I like how you make grand statements about "10 pounds being nothing" when you haven't the FAINTEST idea of what that weight feels like. Also, the Raw record has only gone up 11 pounds in the last 18 years. Why? Because only 4 men in history have benched 700+ raw in competition, and many others who have looked to be close end up stalling out as they get in the upper 600s or suffering massive injuries. When you get more advanced into lifting, you'll understand all of this, but you sound hilarious with that 1000+ pound raw bench talk haha.

PurpleNightmare52 Ya funny when people jump to crazy numbers. Lets see 750,800 first. Even that is far away at this point.
