France, Italy, Germany & the Netherlands will develop a Russian hypersonic missile interceptor. European defence firms will develop a prototype of missile interceptors within the next 3 years. As per reports, the development of this technology is in the hands of the European company MBDA.

The thing is Russia has these missiles now and uses them to take out the Patriots which malfunction at the hint of the missile approaching. Even if turned to manual when the patriot is most effective it is impossible to shoot down those Kenzi missiles and the 6 to 10 manned crew is dead after all those years of training. By the time Europe develops a hypersonic interceptor in 3 year's time, new Russian missiles may be cruising at high hypersonic speed of between mach 10 - 25.
Without reading the unpredictable trajectory, no interception is possible. The kinetic energy of the Russian weapon in-flight cannot be stopped by anything other than a acounter-kinetic energy missile force, which is improbable at best and quite impossibly silly at worst.

Its always a cat and mouse game. But developping such system in just 3 years is hard but developping a missle who can reach 20-30 whitin 3 years while at war so your resourse goes to the war thats impossible.
The Russian are deploying 44 new warships equipped with Zircon Hypersonic missiles. Maybe they will assign 22 warships each on Atlantic and Pacific Oceans for quick non painful response just like the Titan submarine passengers experience.
Zircon has yet to be successfully tested, and given that the scientists who developed it are on trial for treason, it's little more than a paper tiger.

Creating the radar and the software to track a missile traveling at these peeds is also a problem.
