    I dont have a 3d printer or anything but i still watch these cause you're awesome and these are very entertaining!

      There are services like 3d Hubs where people list their 3d printer for orders. People have added their printers from all over the world so you might find one by you. I had used one near me for a project and it was quite reasonable price wise.

      That's really nice to hear. I always wondered how many people watch that don't have printers. I'm glad I can provide some value. Thanks for letting me know. :)

    Awesome as always Garrett. I'm gradually trying to be less precise. With this type of model you have taut me that it doesn't need to be, it looks far more 'natural' without it.

    • @ChaosCoreTech0
      @ChaosCoreTech0  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I struggled with that too. My early models I literally measured pictures on my screen to replicate them precisely. So the forms tool in Fusion made me a lot better at just going with the flow a bit. :)

    Looks great. Looking forward to the other parts, specially the part to break it into smaller parts.

    gah damn man... ok I need to watch this again try this out. I have the perfect project in mind. Would love to see you do a tutorial on a mask ;)

    • @ChaosCoreTech0
      @ChaosCoreTech0  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah Fusion is awesome. And I've been wanting to do a mask, I haven't gotten around to it yet. It'd be fun to mess with. Any masks that you've been wanting but don't have the files for? ;)

    Why didn’t you add the blade tip in when you drew the shape ?

    Hello, i am very thankful to your video tutorials,.
    I am facing a problem, in the sculpt environment when i use the draging arrows to create a new layer in the required direction. Instead i am getting the elongation of the edge in that direction.. HOW TO RESOLVE THIS.?

    Great tutorial. I am having issues with the chamfer on the edge, though, No matter how small a chamfer I make, it just won't work and gives an error message instead. Any ideas why this might be?

    Nice videos! Can you make a "how to" model a helmet or mask with some complex form (like a stormtrooper or something like that) with 3 image references? i cant find videos about it.

    How do you rotate the views so beautifully smoothly?

    • @ImaginationToForm
      @ImaginationToForm 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I forget what model he has but he has a SpaceMouse that lets him turn a knob to rotate around. One of his earlier videos shows what one.

    • @ChaosCoreTech0
      @ChaosCoreTech0  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's the SpaceNavigator 3D Mouse from 3DConnexion. :)

    Great work Garrett!
    Is there a build-in tool to allow you to create notched mating surfaces like you see on real model kits?

    • @ImaginationToForm
      @ImaginationToForm 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You could draw one then use pattern to repeat down the length of the handle. That might help some.

    • @ChaosCoreTech0
      @ChaosCoreTech0  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      There's a few different ways you can achieve something like that. Part 3 in this video series will be pretty close to what you're wanting I think. If you tweet me a picture of what specifically you're going for, I might be able to elaborate a bit on it. :)

  • @Gamebro-bw8jn
    @Gamebro-bw8jn 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    Sorry bro, but this model is super poor. You just can not do swords in this programe.

    • @ChaosCoreTech0
      @ChaosCoreTech0  8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I respectfully disagree. This was meant to be a tutorial, not a finished model. So it was just showing how to quickly and easily create a base of a prop or cosplay sword that could be built upon. Fusion can absolutely make swords. It's a robust CAD program, it can make almost anything if you're creative enough.

      I agree with Chaos Core on this one. This is actually a very well done sword and he clearly is only showing the basics with this video. Awesome job!
