Good video Ed. I could have done with seeing it before coming with you on Saturday :) I think my issues with cramp on those last two hills were almost certainly caused by a lack of nutrition. All I had was cereal bars, which I normally stop to eat if I'm on my own. I struggled to get them down on the move and as you suggest in this video, I didn't time it right with respect to eating on the easy bits, not on the hills.
Nice one Ed. Given the rise in temperature in the UK I’ve been making my own blackcurrant beta fuel. Also when I need of caffeine, I have used watered down red bull. It has worked a treat thus far.
Great insight and video. Took Styrk on a cycling trip and got along really well with it and their bars are delicious. Congrats on Dragon ride you smashed it 💪👏
I've being using the stykrr products a while now my only complaint is package size could be smaller, especially for the 90 mix. I also use eat my ride app to help remind me to drink or eat etc
Did Dragon Ride myself and was wondering if I’d spot you. Was quietly hoping for a decent result on the Gran Fondo but suffered a major bonk before the Bywlch (hence watching this video). I then took a wrong turn and headed back into Neath before I topped it off with getting my Di2 stuck in crash mode whilst I figured out how to get back to Magram. Turns out I walked straight past you, in a strop, at the finish. That’s me ha
i did 1 week ago 250 km on 4 watt the kg and only on 15 gram of carbs an hour the next 5 6 days feel like shit no power in the legs and the day after feeling so tired and hungry will full up much better next time
Thanks Ed these dragon ride videos have been awesome and your preview video helped in a big way towards my sub-10 hour 300k finish time 🙂
AWESOME!!
Great video. I don't eat enough. I'm going to get more organised and change
Love it Ed! Great work and congrats on the record 🚀
100%, a lot of fuelling!

Great insight again, just one question why no gels until final couple of hours?
Just incase my gut rejected it!
Ah-ha. 😆
