Thank you! It was a lot of work and I’m proud of it. Yeah, maybe it’s a bit longer than it needs to be, but I hate when people leave out the important steps or things to consider. Cheers!
Nice work. I'm glad IE is putting out e85 products. Its great fuel option and I wana see more stuff available for our German cars for us that can get the fuel regularly. We definitely need the sensor that reads the content tho it makes the process much easier for daily use.
Same. Looking to do this on my car. Would like dedicated e85 tune but don’t want to deal with testing fuel quality and not sure I can trust my wife to find e85 and worry she will use 91 octane.

Yes, you will be able to see content via OBD11, but it only becomes enabled once you load the TrueFlex tune from IE. So don’t get this thinking it’s a cheaper way to see ethanol content if you don’t plan doing IE’s TrueFlex tune.

Both sides of what? If you’re asking about the fuse there is one side of the fuse that already has power existing in the box. We are just taking advantage of the empty slot. The fuse links from the existing power to the power wire from the ethanol sensor you insert into the fuse box.

I have their true flex tune on the is38. I’m quite disappointed it only makes 12 more whp than the 93 tune with e70. The e85 is20 tune actually makes the same power as a is38 on pump. My 60-130 was low 11s on e70. Now I’ve been with IE for almost 3 years on my GTI. Had stage 2, is38, and now their true flex. IE is still very conservative but it works! So I Picked up a Cobb just to try other tunes. Eqt e30 is38 stage tune I ran a 10.5 with a pretty bad DA on the first run. I’m just seeing what else is available. I’ll still buy IE products because they are top notch but I’m moving from the tuning aspect being fully vested for years. Their development is just slow. Took me a year to go from v1 to v1.6 on is38.
I'm with eqt right now, and waiting on the Trueflex for IE. I'm trying to figure out if i should just get the eqt e85 tune or wait for the IE trueflex. Would you say the eqt e30 tune was faster than the IE trueflex on e85?
@@deezyb858 e70 true flex is38 file. Reason being is that a is38 maxes out on e50 with a hpfp unless you have a really strong stock lpfp. So IE calibrated to run less boost as you add more ethanol to prevent your fuel pressure from dropping and causing you to run lean. Yes EQT runs more boost but remember if your lpfp is weak it will cause fuel rail pressure drops. Not all lpfp are created the same. I seen some drop fuel rail pressure at e40 on the is38.
@@NerdGenius I'm personally somewhat on the fence with IE basically because of how conservative it may be, however their IS38 numbers for 19+ cars are pretty decent.
