Roofing a Chainsaw-Milled Gazebo for $30! #48

  • Unless you are building a house-sized structure, consider purchasing "used" (cheap!) shingles from Craigslist or Facebook marketplace for next to nothing. This is the second structure I've built out here with $100 worth of roofing I purchased a couple years ago and my stash is now about half gone.
    Since I built the entire gazebo with lumber I milled myself with a chainsaw, the bill for this project should be somewhere in the neighborhood of $200-$300.
    And they tell me right now are the highest lumber prices ever seen!
