Used to love this show back in the 80s! Up to 1.5 million deer now per the PA game commission, even with increasing coyote, bear and bobcat populations.
There actually were Jaguars that roamed as far north as PA, but they weren’t the Jaguars that you think of today. They were here in the Pleistocene era, but there were also a lot of other animals here in that time too.
That theme music. Would recognize it ANYWHERE!! I absolutely LOVED this show on local PBS.
We have so very much to be thankful for including our freedom! 👍❤️
One of the best shows ever. I miss it. Thanks for posting!
"Living free is as important to them as it is to us."

So glad to have found this! I grew up with ALL the VHS tapes.
My god it's been a long time since I heard the voice and music. Feels good on my soul
Listening to this makes me miss my Dad 😢. Curl up on the couch and watch stuff like this with him. Can still smell the beer on his breath 😂😂.
This brings back some amazing memories!!!

Just watching it now for the first time. He said 100k harvest, up to 430k now. Pretty wild growth even with herd reduction in the early 00s
واو مشاهدة رائعة جدا شكرا لك ❤❤❤❤❤❤
When i was ten I liked this show so much my mom and dad got me the VHS 3 pack of his videos
Jaguars in Pennsylvania? I've never heard of this until now.
Yeah there weren’t jags in Pennsylvania, also black bears are infamous for taking newborn fawns as a meal. Definitely a few things this doc gets wrong

Because we don't need to eat them to survive anymore is why they made a comeback.
Mysterically overnight we were overrun with coyote.
We’re not over run, and they’ve been here awhile. And it’s really no mystery they replaced the other predators.
Yep, they’re just partially filling a void we humans created.
I LOVE AMERICAN PEOPLE AS WELL I LOVE THE NATURAL LIFE IS VERY IMPORTANT TO RECOGNIZE THAT WE ALL NEED WILD LIFE
Helo❤❤👍👍
Hell of a lot more than a million now ! I see at least 10 dead a day on the roads .
Only because of many more vehicles SMH! The deer population on state forests and game lands is pathetically low!
