I think they were confused by the question. Branding is a serious business and that is why people pay big money for it, it also sorts the wheat from the chaff.

Do you start by creating every (slide) on illustrator and then import it into after effects and animate it or you just go directly into after effects and work it out? (or other software). You will have the customer beating down your door, as well as the licence holder, your name will be mud and your chances of ever getting a decent contract will disappear like the early morning mist in the desert. Your call.

I'm sure there are tiers. There will be huge million dollar and billion dollar companies who do spend a lot on branding. In the design world there are always tiers. The lowest of the low, then low, medium, upper middle, high and the top

The average graphic design student will never hear what you said in just 8-minutes. HOWEVER, your presentation doesn't factor in the Dunning-Kruger in which people wrongly overestimate their knowledge or ability in a specific area. In this instance, over-charging for a bad image package (VERY common) that just can't be fixed with a couple teaks and modifications here and there. I dread hiring graphic designers because the ones that I encounter just lack sophistication and I end up saying, "...then why don't we try this instead." and for every instance of saying that is another step away from the optimal design.--Meanwhile, the graphic designer will shamelessly insist on being paid for effectively doing nothing.
Your hourly rate is a nice guide. But pricing is 100% completely subjective in the moment. Its based on the clients budget, your schedule, and the ongoign relationship you have with the client.
I'm starting again as a freelance graphic designer and even if I know many of this things for years, your videos help me so much !

'Grotesque' is the name of a specific style of typeface, like Space Grotesque etc, and 'Basement' is the name of the brand that made it 👍
