in season 2 they look much better since they are polished and enhanced in some closeup scenes by a bit of post production and CGI... much better than season 1 where they looked pretty cheap
They aged up Armand for the show...I wonder how old he is supposed to be in the show? In the books he was a younger teenager, I think? I assumed that's why they chose an actor who could give 'fragile' so effectively?
When he shows Louis the painting of his younger self he says that he was 20 there, and I believe refers to being turned 7 years later, which would make him physically 27 in the show. The actor's even older than that, lol, but he pulls it off well
From an Armand fan... we're not rooting for him and Louis. We love him because of how unhinged he is, not despite it 😁 (I don't speak for all Armand fans, but I believe we're in the majority?) I won't say who I'm rooting for him with, but it is mentioned by the cast in some interviews.
"You want to now?" he asks Daniel....Daniel doesn't answer & they never go back to it. Louis meant having sex with him lol Ep5 was my favorite, at first. Daniel was sooooo high! Louis & Armand's fight was epic. So much emotion in the last 2 episodes.

Season 3 is going to be about the book The Vampire Lestat, they've said in interviews & at comic con this summer. Claudia does not want to be this 'baby' at all. I love dreamLestat & all his antics, so funny! Armand likes to screw with peoples minds. The makeup, the writing, the acting, the editing, the directing, everything was awesome! One of the best television series ever!!
Ep2: None of the vampires are "Good." With Louis, he's more of a "Guilty" vampire--he kills humans every other day--he said in 2x1 that he'd killed 7000 souls. So even though Claudia & Lestat killed way more, that's still a lot. Even 1 is too much. Yes, I loooooove Delainey's Claudia, agreed.
Ep7: #CovenClaudia 😭❤ The movie had prepared the trial scene (there's stills of Tom Cruise's Lestat at the trial); but it was all cut from the film, so you only see the abduction, Claudia & Madeleine's death, and Armand & Louis' reaction. Ep8: You'll get to see Loustat in modern day. The 2nd book deals with Lestat's human past & turning, but the rest of the books are set in the modern day, so no worries.
Mayfair witches might be a good show (I dunno) but despite what hard core Anne Rice fans might say, really The Vampire Chronicles are her only books I've ever enjoyed -- and god knows I've tried Mayfair witches and whatnot... but ...meh. Truth be told, not even all of the Vampire Chronicles are great (there's a ton of books and a few aren't very good). But the first few are great, the second book is peak (coming next season! Eeek!) and there's plenty of books which are good enough to be worth adaptation. But yeah, that might be why "crickets". So glad you are back with IWTV season 2!!! Yay!!!

A lot of fans don’t really like Mayfair Witches because the writers completely changed the story. However, a lot of people who like witches in general seem to enjoy the series or at least think it’s OK. So you might give it a shot.

Akasha was the first vampire in existence. Meaning that lestat was more powerful than any of them. Lestat the best out of all of them.
