      They stopped printing money when they started hiking interest rates. That's the literal meaning of quantitative tightening.

      yes, my point being why go through this process if you will continue overspending and devaluing the dollar either way. It’s a mess, we wouldn’t be in this spot if our government could run a budget. On a personal note I've worked closely with my advisor to grow my portfolio from $200k to $4.8 million through stock trading because as a businessman, I prefer to invest my money rather than let it sit idle and lose value over time due to inflation.

      When prices go down, it generally leads to tons of layoffs. This is why the Fed aims for around 2% annual inflation.

      @@daaaaaave Deflation can be as bad a inflation. It may be necessary to end this cycle. US increased wages are mainly because of government spending, subsidies and government jobs. Causing consumers to keep spending and inflation to persist. The cycle needs to be broken. And that will be painful for most people who aren't ready. And most are not.

    Our car insurance rose 9.1% in six months. No insurance claims or changes. Property tax over a couple years went up a lot too. Ridiculous

      They do not include Gas or Groceries in these numbers and never have. That's why there are the reported numbers and the real cost of living. A political game they play to try and make people believe things are better than they are. Normally he will tell you both numbers.

    3.4% is an increase, forget the little spin you want to place on it. But whatever, know what this means? Means its time for Feds to RAISE interest rates. Probably won't raise it more than .75% but won't exactly crash the market, either.

    0.3% MoM increase is still 3.6% Y/Y. I am not sure how that shows inflation is heading to 2% Y/Y

    Good deal that it's going down. Oil prices are falling it's probably accurate. May mean a future rate cut though which the fed will have to throw cold water on. Higher for longer with inflation falling

      @@utubeisfake Again, inflation is still rising..meaning more expensive. The rate has slowed but inflation hasn't gone down. Inflation is caused by printing of money which is crazy because if we did it we'd be in jail. Then comes a deficit which turns into inflation.

    FED/ECB should cut soon. Here in Germany, production is getting wiped out thanks to high rates and cheap Chinese products. Many companies are facing bond maturity wall. German companies have to pay 5 to 10% interest while Chinese companies thanks to subsidies are enjoying -30% to -50% interest rates.
