Well that makes sense, i've spent the last two days trying to learn this from the video, constantly going "Huh, wtf?" Knew SOMETHING funky had to be going on.
Since i've started playing guitar, i've always wished the scale went to H not G. I've wanted to try DEDHEAD tuning on my 7 for ages.

@@iWentToNam Horrible translation mistake. Unfortunately, I got it teached as H in elementary school (Germany) and still mix it up 20 years later.
The way TesseracT managed to merge all their previous albums into one song is nutty.
This was my exact thought... sounds like every song they previously wrote in one track. Love it.

@@Dyingwood. yea, it got me thinking too, cuz Tesseract has changed so much with the flip flop with singers and then the changes in Polaris and Sonder that had some fans saying they "changed too much" from their sound that was in One and Altered State, that it's like a war in artists to just put out what makes them happy. I also saw the lyrics as commentary on the digital world as well. I looked at what Dan said about the lyrics somewhere and yeah it can definitely resonate in different ways
@@twinny_mi one has a special spot, but if the rest of this album delivers on this nice blend ill be very happy. periphery V and colors 2 were enough to tide me over for something experimental out of my favorite bands. there wont be another One, but thats why we love tesseract
Tesseract is a masterclass of marketing lately. Providing the fans with insight into the process, and close-ups of the instruments for those who are interested in that.

They always have been. Total Professionalism, dedication to honing a craft in a very thoughtful and particular way. They dont even have to hype new material, we do it for them.
One note, one measly reverb trail, or a single bend, thats all it takes, and you can tell it's tesseract. Their guitar tone alone hits like a fucking planet with it's fangs drawn like a wolf.
I liked the way Erra released their song Shadow Autonomous. They released tabs but no actual song to see what guitar players could come up with and what the song might sound like. I hope they do that again, it was really unique and cool to see

This band just formed into an absolute powerhouse over the years, each album with an unique learning opportunity for them, all resulting in this masterpiece
They make all these complex syncopations and time sigs seem so effortless. I don’t remember where I read/heard this from but I remember someone once describing one of their live performances as “pure confidence” and I couldn’t agree more.

YES! It provides another dimension to hear the instrumentals only. I really appreaciated Altered State instrumental. There is so much detail to listen to.

Would love to see more playthroughs on this channel. You can even go backwards through your entire music catalogue, similar to what Steph from Deftones did.
Literally everything on this new track is an epic masterpiece of progressive metal. Every instrument, and the vocal track also. (listen to the actual track) This one as an instrumental stands alone as a great piece too!
I am a oldsql Tesseract fan (pre Dan days), always liked them but damn when i heard this song i just had to order the vinyl, what a masterpiece. Can't wait for the album.
As a relatively newbie to things Tesseract I struggled somewhat with this track, but hearing this it makes so much more sense. I now get it!

Dan - as you said, this is fairly uncharted territory because of what you guys are doing. It's a tremendous surprise, and like many other longtime fans I've got your back. I hope the stress of developing this game (reading the bug reports, complaints, etc) doesn't get to your heads or diminish any creative energies you've been charged up with from the excitement of the new album.
