Whenever I’m sewing the face part of the hood the fabric clumps below the eyelets. The video doesn’t seem to have the problem I’m having …what can I do to fix this ?
I bought the pattern yesterday and downloaded it, but I have a question... If I want to add a lining on the Balaclava (I know how to do the lining part), how would I or where would I do the eyelets for the cord?
You wouldn't on the lining. So you'd but the lining on, then you can fold the edges to make the cord tunnel meaning they'll be a small edge where the sherpa is sewn over the lining. Sew the lining onto the hood and facepiece BEFORE sewing the hood closed, but after adding the metal round piece. Hope this helps
Hi, did you add 2 inches to the circumference and also to the height of the balaclava, as in distance from top of head (helmet) down towards chest? Just wondering about the details of enlarging it! Thank you.
Extra touch - I like to stitch on the centre back of the hood where the drawstring is so that it will never come out in the wash.

That's what I did! I just finished mine and I did about 2" bigger on all accounts and it fits perfectly over my ski helmet! Yay!

I would lay both fabrics together and treat it all as one, instead of doing all the steps twice for the lining

It does if you adjust the pattern - I cut my pattern about 2" bigger than the printed pattern and mine fits great over my ski helmet :)
