The physics issues with unlocked framerate were with loosely hanging objects like rope bridges, fabric, and vines. You could see it going crazy in Naru's house with some of the fabric canopies. It was MOSTLY just visuals, but bridges acting funny isn't good.
Haha, great moment when you finally realised that your hammer smash ability could be used as a hammer. :D I almost thought you might miss it completely!
Man, The Hammer in this game is so satisfying. After I got the hammer, I basically never used the sword again. Hammer is just the stronger version of it.
I tended to switch to the sword against bosses if the hammer was too slow, but especially after upgrading it, the walloping the hammer gives is just top notch.
i feel the weapon upgrades fall kind of flat, all i remember is i was using regeneration and hammer throughout my playthrough, so really only the 3rd slot really changed which is a bit of a shame i feel, it couldve been more
The hammer was my favorite weapon, and I usually don't like slow heavy weapons in games. But it's fantastic, especially paired with certain shard combos. As you discovered near the end, it is a melee weapon, not just like stomp from the first game. it has its own combos and such. And you don't need to jump in the air to use it, it works from the ground too, just like the sword.
Loving the playtrough! been looking forward to it and glad it dit not take long between the 2 games. Fasten your seatbelt-this rollercoaster of a game is about to get even wilder! whoop whoop.
38:03 I'm replaying the game along with your playthrough on Hard. Sentry is very underrated. The enemies have more HP on hard and Sentry turns out to be very nice for crowd control. (Though Hammer is the GOAT) [And I just mean on Hard Mode, Oliver can pick whatever he likes]
I enjoyed it, but WotW is definitely the most aggressive "copy the homework but change it a little" game I've ever played. It takes sooooo much from Hollow Knight.
@@pegusus12346 It is *my* number one complaint. They took *a lot* and it made me scared that Ori had lost its own identity as a game. But WoTW luckily has a lot of unique things to offer too. I just like Ori 1 more, because of Sein's help and it made Ori feel very unique.
Smash is maybe a tiny bit broken with how good it is. Unlike most other attack abilities/spells it doesn't cost spirit energy at all. And the combos which Oliver hasn'T even discovered yet are brutal.
Welcome to Oliver's world Took me a while to realize they're often references to some other media or obscure knowledge he got about something in the episode he played or said.
Oliver's energy during these Ori games is something else. You can feel how passionate and excited he is to play. I can't get enough.
IKR!
Ori and the Blind Oliver
Oh man I was so worried you wouldn't find that smash is not an ability but a WEAPON! Very excited to see more of this WOOO
I hate when people say "no backseating" then they just never even try the most basic attacks...
@@TheRealBatabii I respect Oliver sometimes not having a clue because he is truly enjoying the game as a visual and musical work of art

12:05 That tree was under water during the storm.
57:58 pigeons when you give them crumbs
At first i was afraid, i was petrified.
But then oliver uploaded. And now i'm only afraid.
Is that from something? It reminds me of the lyrics "he wasn't scared, he was terrified" from Lonely by Brad Sucks
@@bell2023 It's the beginning lyrics from "i will survive" :D

"I love that sun"
I mean yeah you only see it like twice in the first game and in one case (valley of the wind) it's mostly covered by volcanic ash
hammer downwards: nice :)
hammer sideway: WOOOOAHHHHHH !!!!!! :O

@@homeyworkey Not a fan of the totally-not-a-railgun spear throw?
@@calebadam2576that one is so dope
53:32 There is also a different attack for standing on the ground and pressing down + B, iirc :D
The hefty feeling on that hammer swing is amazing! Who knew yeeting agressive forest creatures would be so much fun?
Loving the playthrough!
as a hammer gang I'm overjoy that he pick it first
22:20 Who doesnt love Primal Aspids?
DON'T UTTER THAT NAME HERE AAAAA
Primal batspids (get it?? Cuz they’re bats???)
Good timing! This will get me through the project I'm working on. Thanks Oliver!

YES HE CHOSE THE HAMMER
I LOVE IT SO MUCH ❤❤❤❤

So ori and will of the wisps took some stuff from hollow knight but in its own perspective
A lot of the stuff are the exact same though, like buying maps and regeneration.

"Let me go and pull that" YESSS😊 "next time" NOOOO😢
I don’t mean this as an insult or anything but this is by far the slowest play through of this game I have ever seen
Nothing wrong with savoring the experience.
@ that is a very valid point
Welcome to About Oliver.
I'm super happy he's enjoying this, though.
Yay more ori
hey Oliver, I want to see you play the Portal 1&2. Perfect puzzle game.
Hey Oliver, just wanted to suggest The Henry Stickmin Collection. It may look a bit unusual, but its super fun
Agreed, great game.
Yesss
No, I have never listen to Κ-Billy's Super Sounds of the '70s

Yes, I actually have
So good
Hey Oliver! The game audio is a touch quiet so far in this series :)
I'll look into it!
Hammer gang rise up
I am confused by that title.
