Oh I never knew! I just save them to my Google Account, that way IN the event I do leave Samsung, then you can still have them with you. I do most clouding with Google (Photos, passwords, etc) BUT I also do it with Samsung, for the passwords, so it can work when I'm using Samsung and if I change, then Google has the same copy. It's nice to be able to use both in case you do decide to change.
Samsung apps are of course no bloatware. I buy a Samsung to use OneUI and Samsung apps. I prefer gallery, notes, music, browser, health etc. over their Google counterparts. I'm using MS Office 365 on my laptop, thus have 1 TB of Onedrive, so I'm really glad of gallery sync into Onedrive. I can't imagine and don't want a smartphone without Goodlock anymore. The software is a big part of the smartphone experience. Without you could buy a cheaper China Phone using the same SoC etc. hardware.
Chrome is a privacy nightmare and I never use it on Android or PC. The fact that I can't un-install Chrome makes it bloat-ware 100% 👹 Samsung Internet on the other hand respects my privacy and is super optimized on my Galaxy Tab and Phone. Love that browser. I exclusively use Samsung apps and to me Google apps are bloat-ware that i can't un-install. Only Google app I use is PlayStore
Most Samsung apps are my first fav's but, I can't stop using these Google apps: Speech Services, Play Services (deleting it makes Settings unusable), Translate, PlayStore (for updates), Photos, Maps, Docs, Chrome (my Passwords, built-in page Translate, and Bookmarks).
One thing I want them to do is not rely on OneDrive and have their own Cloud service, I'm willing to pay for Samsung cloud if it has tighter integration and offers for Samsung tuned features
Im just eaiting for samsung to drop out android and go with a full os only for samsung and so something similar to the iphone where they controll the experience

It would take too much effort and resources for something that would not be able to compete with Google maps, even Apple maps is nowhere near Google's as they don't have access to the level of data Google has access to.
Samsung's apps are definitely not more optimized. Let's take monoply go for example, the Samsung version is buggy and missing features compared to the Google play's version. So their apps being more optimized is just not true. A lot of them are more buggy.
All galaxy users should explore Samsung apps and settings to see how good they are. The Goodlock app is fantastic. And Samsung doesn't force bloatware anymore. Google is the more stubborn one. And Samsung's partnership with Microsoft is a nice bridge for Windows users. I hope Samsung keeps this approach and doesn't get pressured to go blindly with Google on everything. Samsung and One UI is what sets this apart from other Android phones.
I don't know I think one thing Apple has shown the world is that people prefer to use one set of apps. So having Google Microsoft and Samsung apps that all kind of do the same thing turns people away. Think about it there's a Google drive and a Microsoft drive why not just have one. Apple is fsr superioir in this sense
Yes, yes, I agree 100% with everything you said in your video! Especially the thought at 1:14 and 4:23 and yes, GoodLock is amazing! Samsung's Galaxy S phones/tablets are PRODUCTIVITY devices, and how can you get any real work done without Microsoft apps? You can't use a Tab S with a Mac...so you most likely need OneDrive, Outlook, Word etc. As long as Samsung lets you uninstall the preinstalled apps, it's all good. In this case, IT'S BETTER TO HAVE AND NOT NEED THAN TO NEED AND NOT HAVE I'm a beginner digital artist and aspiring graphic designer, I had no choice but to get an iPad Pro because Adobe Fresco, Illustrator, Procreate, ArtSet, Affinity Photo/Designer, and DaVinci Resolve etc are all on iOS. Samsung is trying to fix that with their partnerships! I was overjoyed when Samsung partnered with Celsys and LumaTouch to bring Clip Studio Paint and LumaFusion to their devices, optimized and updated properly. It just makes sense, Samsung makes the best mobile hardware so they're trying to ensure that they have the best software to go with it!
What I like about Samsung is that is sort of a combination of Pure Android and Apple. So it has it's own ecosystem , BUT YOU ARE ALLOWED to pick and choose what you want from that ecosystem or from Google's ecosystem, in essence, creating the best experience FOR YOU!
The idea of filling up the storage I pay for with stuff that they think is good for me - this is just wrong on so many levels. Feels like I pay for the storage size I need and get immediately robed out of some of it with the preloaded (often uninstalleable) bunch of apps.
Ive been with pixel for a while and tried the s24 plus. There is alot of bloatware and i put at least 14 apps to sleep (if that even works)? Modes and routine i never used either? The first 5 apps i removed were emoji's? Theres just too much crap i never use. Apple phone i had 1 for about 1 hour and took it back. I spent more time trying to login to someting than using the actual phone? Im with oneplus now.
Does the S23 Ultra's IP rating work in the rain? Recently, I had trouble with my phone getting liquid damage, and the warranty didn't cover it. If Its IP68 rating worked, so why did my phone get liquid damage?
I hate that you can't uninstall some apps. No matter whether from Samsung or Google. And that I have to use OneDrive for some functions. Such as backup or cloud sync via Samsung Gallery. Why is the interface not open and I can integrate other or my own services here?
Even though I agree with the most part what annoys me is in Galaxy Store>Updates you can see many sub apps of one main app. For Eg -1) Samsung pass - a)Samsung Pass b)authentication framework c) autofill with Samsung pass 2) bixby app - a) bixby vision b) bixby vision frame, etc. It feels like functionalities scattered all across different sub apps...
Its always got me why they have their own version of apps that google provide and many of which work better. I get some of their own apps but i draw the line at messages apps, calenders, file browsers, phone apps, Clock and calculater apps. For them the google version is good and suits most people. Too many duplicate apps will make for a poor user experience.
I know is off topic, but im intrested to know is there any plans for Samsung Internet browser for Windows? I know they put it on Microsoft Store for a while, and then pull it back. I manage to find instalation file on internet, but browser is laggy and incomplete.
Changed to Pixel (7a) and very happy. I was tired of the crap my Samsung A52s put me through. In terms of condition, it's almost new, it's the software update that ruined it (near the top I couldn't use the screen and sometimes it'd not recognize touchscreen at all).
The galaxy store is also superior in that it starts downplaying the next app while installing the another. The play store waits to finishing installing before starting to download the next app.
Samsung growing eco system.. Will they grow and create a PC? I'm sure as I too am not alone in preferring to use a PC for a longer day in the office etc. . Great channel Daniel :-) So happy to have found it. I'm playing catch up on it too :-) Keep up the Jolly Good Work 🙏🙌🙏
I don't think it's bloatware. It's an option whether to adopt to Samsung's ecosystem. The only thing I wish I could remove is Bixby. I don't think I've known anyone using that.
I agree with you, Daniel. Ultimately Samsung don't want to be the same as any other Android equipped device and their customers want the Samsung experience. But as with all these things, the beauty of owning a Samsung device is choice. You can own a Galaxy and use all Google apps and services, or you can use the Samsung ones. Your choice.
The thing about Samsung apps is that it is bloatware in the same sense that Apple apps are bloatware, but for some reason Sammy apps are still the most space intense
If Samsung is so focused on keeping the customers and on providing unparalleled experience, why are their phones so slow on updates? Why are the new UI’s are arriving so much later than the Pixel phones? Isn’t this late (sometimes months or even years late) customer service creating security issues?
3:38 It would be Microsoft Edge vs. Samsung Internet on my phones for me. I use Edge on my PC at home. I'm also the only one with a work account on Edge instead of Chrome.
Bigger issue is Samsung basically requiring 3 different Accounts to use the phone as advertised, and having random features tied to random third party services that can be discontinued after a year or two post purchase. It's too messy. Imaging a Pixel requiring you to have an Apple and Microsoft Account just to use the phone as Advertised. People would justly laugh and rage at that. That's the Samsung experience, and they maintain their stock apps for PAYOLA. I about died when I got the Note 9 and realized it couldn't even play a song with Samsung Music via Bixby - only through Google Assistant. Cruel Irony, there... considering how hard they were pushing Bixby, back then. It was intentionally designed to only play through Spotify with an account logged in. Crippled to Spotify to pay for priority position on a $1,000 phone. I don't have Spotify, don't have an account for Spotify, and don't want an account for Spotify; so, from the first day of ownership I was basically forced to change the default assistant everywhere to Google Assistant just to get a halfway decent use experience out of the phone (or a safe one, when driving). I went back to the iPhone after that year, and will never return. I'd probably consider a Pixel, though.
Hate it when reviewers say Samsung apps are bloatware, they are the better option compared to most of Google's counterpart and offers syncing with Microsoft and Google accounts so no issues there as well. Tell me a better alternative to Samsung Notes from a first party phone maker, there are none Google Keep nowhere close.
I would like samsung to allow users to uninstall samsung apps cause a basic user doesn't even use them. I would like that option since we need to be careful with our storage, specially now that samsung removed expandable storage .
I'm in the Samsung ecosystem, phone, watch and tablet, and enjoy watching your videos, however are you receiving any form of payment etc, from Samsung for your opinions? Not a criticism, just a question.
I got a new Galaxy January 2023 and gave the Samsung apps a go. Then I started installing the google and Microsoft versions and disabled the ones I couldn't uninstall. That new Galaxy is a disappointment compared to my old Galaxy Lite which was my first Android.
I have a S23 and many of the apps mentioned in this video have been my daily driver like the Notes app, Samsung internet, Gallery app, Good lock, Gaming hub and many more. So they are no way a bloatware.
I agree and don't think Samsung apps are bloatware, rather superior, compared to, for example, Samsung contacts and the dialer. They're more accessible and easier to edit by being separated from each other. This helps eliminate accidental modifications to contact information through the dialer, as can easily happen with Google dialer.
Keep it simple. Any apps pre-installed and forced upon the consumer by manufacturers is “Bloatware”. Let them provide option to either disable or delete unwanted preinstalled apps.
I agree with you what you're saying. However, I don't think Samsung should choose McAfee. Because of McAfee one time I had to completely reinstall the operating system on a computer. I won't use it
Thank you for your comment that Samsung has it's own Lightroom app specific to Samsung cameras. I had mine downloaded from the Google Play Store. No longer! I'm using the S23 Ultra and have had excellent performance I'm sure heavily related to the Qualcomm chip being customized specifically to this phone. No doubt apps customized to Samsung have a significant head start over generic apps.
Your video just convinced me MORE that most of the Samsung apps are bloatware. A video meant to make a case for them reminding me why I don't even need or want them.
Even though I like google calendar better than Samsung and google task will add to google calendar, I like samsung reminders app better. So I use both. I like Samsung Internet better. Especially the tool bar. I use Samsung Notes. Plus if you use the Spen you get extra features in these apps as long as you use samsung keyboard. Like if you draw a square, star, circle, and hold it at the end it will auto shape it for you perfectly. So I use a mix of both parties apps
YES!! It's definitely bloatware and redundant. Its my one major issue which drove me from my SGS23U to my Pixel8Pro (well that and the isolating Samsung Health). Samsung you either use Google apps or just your own apps. Especially the Galaxy Store. It should be improved so the Play Store isn't needed. I'm not saying get rid of Samsung apps. The opposite. Samsung just make your superior app the default so you needn't have to keep Google's equivalents. Also, get rid of the pop up ads!!!

I buy Samsung because of better hardware than other Android products, but I don't want Bixby, I don't want Google assist, I don't want anything from the device itself other than an Android operating system that will run the apps i choose to install and use. Google should hand over the android updates to Samsung years ago Google was first to update now it's a month behind Samsung for security patches
Lol are you sure? Pixel 6 and pixel 8 got updated at the same time. Meanwhile s22 still waiting for oneui 6.1, while s24 got it months ago.
😂 So much for latest
FYI Samsung are the only android phone that let you copy your contacts to your phone and to your sim card (correct me if I'm wrong)...I find that invaluable.....no way you can do that on an iPhone.
@@RobAlfieInostrozaLindley I also save them on another phone and as a vcf fle lol
I can do that with my Moto. I was also able to do so with LG phones.
Without you could buy a cheaper China Phone using the same SoC etc. hardware.
Same, agreed 👍
I buy Samsung phones for OneUI software!
I triple this emotion 👍🏿
here here, used many different brands and none compare to Samsung's.
Samsung Notes not Notes,
Samsung Music not Music,
Samsung Internet not Browser,
Samsung Health not Health.
and its Touchwiz
Great Video! Thanks! I agree completely. Samsung has come a long way from the Note 2 / Touchwiz days.
Chrome is a privacy nightmare and I never use it on Android or PC. The fact that I can't un-install Chrome makes it bloat-ware 100% 👹
Samsung Internet on the other hand respects my privacy and is super optimized on my Galaxy Tab and Phone.
Apps that require a subscription for the full version is just an attempt for Samsung to get a cut of that subscription.
i would go back to galaxy if i had the option to remove the apps that i dont want (either google or samsung)
Same, i went with a pixel phone and installed grapheneos to it no bloat maybe only 2 or 1
One thing I want them to do is not rely on OneDrive and have their own Cloud service, I'm willing to pay for Samsung cloud if it has tighter integration and offers for Samsung tuned features
Yes, I wanted too
Im just eaiting for samsung to drop out android and go with a full os only for samsung and so something similar to the iphone where they controll the experience
Wish Samsung to develop their own Samsung Maps!!
I dont know what services they used but with my smart tag and location i can see the bus route and not just a bus cymbol. Thats pretty cool if you ask me
@ElverGalarga-qc8xv They actually use Google Maps as the base so ofcourse it is accurate.
It would take too much effort and resources for something that would not be able to compete with Google maps, even Apple maps is nowhere near Google's as they don't have access to the level of data Google has access to.
Spot on, I've always thought about it the way you've explained it.
Could you do a video or do you already have a video out on Samsung internet?
I use samsung browser, gallery, music, notes app, calculator, calendar etc. I hate google apps
I agree i use android and Samsung because i like choice and options.
In this case, IT'S BETTER TO HAVE AND NOT NEED THAN TO NEED AND NOT HAVE
I'm a beginner digital artist and aspiring graphic designer, I had no choice but to get an iPad Pro because Adobe Fresco, Illustrator, Procreate, ArtSet, Affinity Photo/Designer, and DaVinci Resolve etc are all on iOS.
When I had T-Mobile once in a while it will make me restart my phone and try to install this app that will make me pick apps for me
Ive been with pixel for a while and tried the s24 plus.
I agree 100% with this guy.
Agree, Samsung keep on doing what they do!
I hate that you can't uninstall some apps. No matter whether from Samsung or Google. And that I have to use OneDrive for some functions. Such as backup or cloud sync via Samsung Gallery. Why is the interface not open and I can integrate other or my own services here?
Do you have onedrive instead Google drive ?
I use both!
can u explain the camera zoom or shift lag in s24 series or if this is already fixed or will get a fix
Google forces any maker to pre-install Google apps if you want to get Google play preinstalled
That is like saying any app provided by an OEM would be “bloatware” including pretty much any Android OEM and Apple. So what is “bloatware” truly?
Anything that you don't have a use for and you can't delete, it's bloatware!
any app without which a phone can run is a bloatware if pushed by manufacturers
Anything that you don't have a use for and you can't delete, it's bloatware!
I would like a video comparing chrome vs Samsung internet please
Samsung growing eco system.. Will they grow and create a PC? I'm sure as I too am not alone in preferring to use a PC for a longer day in the office etc. .
Great channel Daniel :-) So happy to have found it. I'm playing catch up on it too :-) Keep up the Jolly Good Work 🙏🙌🙏
They do have the Galaxy Book line which they are trying to grow, hope they get better and less pricey
What happened to Samsung's music making app, Soundcamp? Why did they abandon it?
Yeah the problem with OneDrive is that as a Samsung partner they don't give you extra free storage. 5 GBs aren't near enough for today's standards.
Now if we add that we can't delete apps or services we don't want
@@ElverGalarga-qc8xv Yup. I mean some of the Samsung apps are good, but some are just using resources...
Delete the system apps on samsung phone, use brevent apps, no need pc and non root
Anything that you don't have a use for and you can't delete, it's bloatware!
I recently switched to Google Docs for most of my Notes, and Samsung Notes as temporary (due to being limited to Samsung devices), no more Keep!
I was waiting for someone to cover this topic finally you did it thank you so much sir
Yes there are some bloatware like Netflix app pre installed
Becuase netflix is partnered with samsung
I would like samsung to allow users to uninstall samsung apps cause a basic user doesn't even use them. I would like that option since we need to be careful with our storage, specially now that samsung removed expandable storage .
The removal of the SDCard was such a bad move and everything is being forced on the users.
@@Tealc2323 exactly, the removal of sd and we have these apps we cant uninstall.
I'm in the Samsung ecosystem, phone, watch and tablet, and enjoy watching your videos, however are you receiving any form of payment etc, from Samsung for your opinions? Not a criticism, just a question.
You need multiple App Stores, it prevents another App Store vs Epic situation. Competition is good in a free market system
I got a new Galaxy January 2023 and gave the Samsung apps a go. Then I started installing the google and Microsoft versions and disabled the ones I couldn't uninstall. That new Galaxy is a disappointment compared to my old Galaxy Lite which was my first Android.
Lol bloatware shouldn't even matter these days... minimum storage is 256gb lol
Yes, disabling+deleting+hiding unnecessary ones with ADB is only what is left! 😅
I dont like the Microsoft apps, have dissabled or uninstalled all of them
I have a S23 and many of the apps mentioned in this video have been my daily driver like the Notes app, Samsung internet, Gallery app, Good lock, Gaming hub and many more.
So I use a mix of both parties apps
for me bloatware is linkedIn for example and also facebook
is there a way to have the old Samsung Gallery on the S23/S24 ? I really dislike the new one
Also, get rid of the pop up ads!!!
the real bloatware is the Google apps preinstalled. they shoud get rid the play store and chrome and google photos and google drive and other bloatware like that. and oneui is touchwiz too
Flossy Carter said bloatware are just apps you don't use. One person's bloatware is another person's favorite app.
I wouldn't want to my S22 Ultra to have pure Android, I love the OneUI, it's perfect, all I need is possibility to delete any app I want, which I can't do now, I feel tangled like apple retar... I mean, user.
Agree with you 💯 Samsung always run smooth. I'm so sick of clunky Google being in control of everything...
Yes, thank you
I buy Samsung because of better hardware than other Android products, but I don't want Bixby, I don't want Google assist, I don't want anything from the device itself other than an Android operating system that will run the apps i choose to install and use. I need about 25 apps for work and maybe 4-5 games and a couple of media apps. Nothing else is used. The rest is junk that uses my cell data limit for updates to make the stuff i do want useless 1 week into the service month.
Main Reason i am using Samsung Is One Ui and Its Apps , Main Apps i use are Samsung Internet , Samsung Gallery , Samsung Email , Samsung My Files , Samsung Notes , Secure Folder , Samsung Health , Samsung Wallet , Theme Park , Samsung Weather App , Samsung Email is Very Good i am Using My Google & Outlook account simultaneously on one app , Samsung My files app is also best , i have All my Phone Storage , External Storage , Microsoft Cloud Storage , Google Cloud Storage at One place , Samsung Notes apps is also best plus i backup it with Samsung cloud i have no worry to lose my Contacts , Text Messages , Notes even if i lost my phone , and i love Theme Park , i have purchased tons of Icons Pack which i used on my Device , Samsung Native apps are not bloatware , which apps are bloateare we can easily Uninstalled them , Bloatwares are actually Google apps which i have to delete everytime when i purchased new samsung phones or i reset my phone , even i uninstall all Microsoft apps also
Even though Secure Folder is good, it doubles the apps that I don't like. I prefer Gmail over Samsung Email for faster email syncing, The rest of everything is the same as you.
steve jobs reincarnated and hated apple so much that he became a Samsung fan
This guy really loves big samsung
I won't mind them pre install apps as long i have right to remove them completely
Samsung flow and samsung tv are awesome I use them all the time . Also samsung health is valuable
I didn't no google photos was on my samsung
For me the real bloatware is all Google forced app ecosystem, The other day I wanted to save in Samsung Pass my sign in sessions, Google Avery time tried to force me to use their password save method, Hope one day Samsung can deliver an OS with their own mail service client, cloud service and store no related to Google and Microsoft
No. Most of them are actually very useful and actually good.
What's the point of buying samsung or any brand if you don't want a differet software experience. If everything had to be stock android then it is all just one phone with different harware specs from different companies. Every brand should have something unique to offer and samsung is doing a good job at that.
I need only Google and Microsoft accounts on Samsung
I wish Samsung would do their video recording/photo taking beter than Apple 🍎🍏
Agree with you 100%
Samsung apps, for me, are definitely not bloatware. In fact, I use and prefer many of the Samsung apps.
