Is it accurate that it can boil water quicker off of kerosene than white gas? On the specs for this stove I saw that kerosene boil time is significantly quicker than the white gas time. However the Diesel burn time was a lot longer than both of them which doesn’t make sense to me because I already would think white gas it would be quicker. And if anything, kerosene would be pretty similar to diesel.
You’re right white gas will be quicker, though I prefer kerosene as it’s cheaper better for the seals on the pump and arguably safer in the cold, I do use white gas though just depends what’s on hand.
Yes. It's pretty much ON/Off. The Dragonfly is probably what you want for simmering and culinary finesse, the Whisperlite is just a lighter Dragonfly etc.

Is it hard to regulate the heat on MSR XGK EX?
It basically has one setting and that is rocket engine. It is designed primarily for mountain use to boil water.
