Welcome back to our kitchen! In this segment, we’ll show you how to perfectly cook the beef for our special Eid al-Adha Beef Biryani. This step is crucial for achieving the rich and flavorful base that makes this biryani truly irresistible.
📋 Ingredients for Cooking the Beef:
1 kg beef, marinated (see our previous video for the marinade recipe)
3 large onions, thinly sliced
3 tomatoes, chopped
4-5 green chilies, slit
1 cup (0.24 liters) chopped cilantro (coriander leaves)
1 cup (0.24 liters) chopped mint leaves
1/2 cup ghee or oil
📋 Instructions:
Heat the Ghee or Oil:
In a large pot or pressure cooker, heat 1/2 cup of ghee or oil over medium heat.
Fry the Onions:
Add 3 large, thinly sliced onions to the pot. Cook until they turn golden brown and caramelized.
Add the Marinated Beef:
Add the marinated beef chunks to the pot. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the beef is browned on all sides.
Incorporate Tomatoes and Green Chilies:
Add 3 chopped tomatoes and 4-5 slit green chilies to the pot. Cook until the tomatoes are soft, and the oil starts to separate from the mixture.
Add Fresh Herbs:
Stir in 1 cup (0.24 liters) each of chopped cilantro (coriander leaves) and chopped mint leaves. Mix well to combine all the flavors.
Tips:
Ensure the beef is browned properly to enhance the flavor.
Cook on medium heat to avoid burning the spices and herbs.
Serving:
This flavorful beef mixture is now ready to be layered with rice to complete your delicious Beef Biryani.
