    I am so glad you could make it to the Lake District. It's a beautiful place. A little known fact about Lake Windermere, it has more water in it compared to all bodies of water than all lakes in England.

      The Lake District was fantastic. Mark has lived near there most of his life and filled my head with so much trivia that I couldn't possibly remember it all.

    LOL Jaffa Cakes! Exactly what I buy when I go back to my home country.

      I first heard about them earlier this year via a TH-cam video, so I had to try them on this trip. I'm hooked!

    Greggs and jaffa cakes, I'm glad you got to experience such classic British cuisine Mike! Seriously though, it's really nice seeing your UK series, I think I sometimes take living here for granted. It's interesting to see what you find worth filming, seeing you really appreciate what seems like just normal countryside and buildings and historic sites to me reminds me to appreciate them a bit more

      Much of the scenery, the vegetation, the architecture, is so different from anything I've experienced in America and Korea, there's something new, exciting, and even awe inspiring on every trip. And for the record, I prefer Pret to Gregg's generally, though I have yet to try one of their sausage rolls.

      Actually, it's a bit large. I only showed a small portion of it in the video.

    I'm glad they didn't build walls around those walls. Walking about, guided by signs.

      I love that! All of the ruins I visited were like that. It enables a better sense of the history of it all. And then you have Hadrian's Wall just out there stretching across the countryside, now serving in some sections as one of the walls surrounding some of the fields. Way cool.

    Mike president Yoon just declared martial law, we need your breakdown! What do you make of it?

    • @MikeFromKorea
      @MikeFromKorea  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Well, it's all over now. I think enough Koreans still remember their recent authoritarian history that was bound to fail.

      @@MikeFromKorea Why did Yoon do it though knowing this?

    • @MikeFromKorea
      @MikeFromKorea  หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @@hre2044 The opposition has been gumming up the works. They won big in the parliamentary elections in April and have impeached several members of his administration. He decided to blame that on North Korean influence to justify martial law as a national security measure. He's deeply unpopular though and members of his own party were against this. He crossed a line and has probably guaranteed his own impeachment.
