My husband and I did the RV lifestyle for 6 years, and it was exhilirating and trying, with repairs, lonliness, frustration. I think you're honest about it and respect that. When I was living full-time in my van I also bought a folding camp chair (which I never used). Eventually I just gave it away. There was always a log, rock, etc., I could sit on; a picnic table, if visiting with pals, they would have a spare chair I could borrow. We need a folding stool for entry step-ups and doing engine stuff, etc., and it doubles as a camp seat. Reducing your load is always the best solution.
I think I use my folding step stool about 5 times as much as my chair. Entry/exit, cleaning windshield, checking stuff in engine bay, perfect height seat inside van for cooking, & as a side table when I finally use the chair.
One of the dishes my husband introduced me to with tofu is worth sharing with you since I think you'd like it. Cut the tofu into cubes, meanwhile, chop up scallions and grate some ginger. Sprinkle the scallion and ginger over the tofu. Heat up the oil and pour it over top. That's it, quite yummy, enjoy.

I’ve the unheated Geyser System. When I make coffee in morn I heat extra water & put in Thermos. End of day, add to water, hook up to GZ & yeah! Hot shower. I’m in small SUV. Always thinking about storage. Love Kitty holiday cards. Get Outside & Enjoy
I love that Joolco shower, best investment for anyone camping or vanlifing. As for the shower tent, nah, I would use four shower curtains, tack one on each back door/roof ceiling door trim with clips or velcro strips and anchor the sliding curtain between two back doors that opens out. Less more space once the curtain showers are dried and folded up. I know you were talking about redoing your bed frame, it's a good time to do that as well. Winter isn't very far off!

The Joolco shower seems awesome, but the tent that goes with it looks like a real pain to put up & take down, you'd be better off with a popup photographer tent. Beautiful spot, hope Kitty will be ok this winter.... the greeting cards are lovely!!

I dry the tent with some rags but yes in summer it will be easier

I think you should re-order your cards since they are already sold out.
They have a pop-up version of the shower tent that's easier... as long as it's not windy... they have a water pump if you want to use river water.
I have a diesel heater heating my shower tank. The best are steamy hot winter showers!
