Thank you Craig. Yes. It is the 509 Compact Tactical. I think I am going to try IWB again. Bought a CYA for my new Shield Plus the other day and found it pretty comfortable. Thinking about getting one for the FN.
@@DadsGarageDIY Great video!! I've just began carrying concealed and I have the 509 compact. When I began looking at which gun to purchase, I'd only considered models I'd shot previously like the TP9 SC, PPQ SC and a couple of single stack models. Inventory was low everywhere in February, and sorta still is, but I went in to the range that my wife and I frequent to ask them to order the Canik for me, and before doing so the guy told me they just got a few of the 509 Compact models and asked if I'd look at it. Thank God I did because I love it. And, since I'm am shallow and like to be cool, I was happy that it was FDE and looks cool in the case next to my rifle that's got FDE furniture. Lol. Are the holsters you're talking about in the video specific to the compact or are they for the original 509? It's not been super easy to find decent holsters and I've had a couple places tell me that they don't have molds for the compact, but the 509 molds will work fine as they're only a bit longer in the barrel but I'd prefer one made specific for the compact. My state isn't the friendliest to those of us that carry every day so I need one that will print as little as possible and any extra material isn't going to help. Sorry, throwing a lot at you but I can't find anyone that carries this gun to ask.
@@craigyost1240 These holsters are for the compact tactical. But, I am almost positive they will fit the compact also. Although the 509 Compact is called a compact it is a bit large for concealing in a t-shirt, etc. If you can stand an inside the waistband I would go that route. They will pull the gun much closer to your body. I actually carry the FN all the time during the cooler months and in the "t-shirt" months I carry the Shield Plus. I love the FN and much prefer it. I am about to order a inside the waistband for the FN. I have a new one coming for the Shield. After I see it I will know which one I am going with for the FN.
