Whenever Fatima spoke of Muhammad, she never said, “My father said this” or “My father did this.” Fatima used to say, “The ‘Prophet of Allah’ said this;” or “The ‘Prophet of Allah’ did this.” His wife Aisha did not say, “My husband said this;” or “My husband did this.” She said, “ ‘The Prophet of Allah’ said this,” or “ ‘The Prophet of Allah’ did this.” Even his close associates and friends referred to Muhammad as “The Prophet of Allah” and not as “My friend, or our friend.” Prophet Muhammad has attracted the attention of the world. In history, Muhammad has always attracted attention. Muhammad occupies pivotal place in the heart, mind and soul of a Muslim. Muhammad also occupies central place in the heart, mind and soul of those who hate him. The message of the unlettered Muhammad changed the mind and mindset of humanity. It transformed mankind. Importantly, Muhammad never claimed to be a sage or a seer. He said, he was the Prophet of Allah, Who had ordained him to convey His message to His people. Powerful emperors have admired Muhammad; presidents and prime ministers adore him; field marshals and generals have saluted him; and scholars and ideologues have written intellectual masterpieces on this man, Muhammad. Muhammad gave women the right to question. Muhammad gave women the right to defend their honour. Muhammad gave women the right to choose life partner in marriage. Muhammad granted women the right to inherit property. Muhammad granted women the right to earn a respectable living. Muhammad granted women the right to participate in public life and vote her views and opinion.12 A Muslim woman can even retain her own family name upon marriage, rather than taking up the name of her husband. This way, she remains her own very person, with her own identity.

This was revealed about the liar, Musaylimah al-Hanafi. This man was a soothsayer who composed rhymed speech and claimed prophethood. He claimed that he was inspired by Allah. (… and who saith: I will reveal the like of that which Allah hath revealed?) [6:93]. *This verse was revealed about 'Abd Allah ibn Sa'd ibn Abi Sarh.* This man had declared his faith in Islam and so the Messenger of Allah, Allah bless him and give him peace, called him one day to write something for him. *When the verses regarding the believers were revealed (Verily, We created man from a product of wet earth…) [**23:12**-14], the Prophet dictated them to him. When he reached up to (and then produced it as another creation), 'Abd Allah expressed his amazement at the precision of man's creation by saying (So blessed be Allah, the Best of Creators!). The Messenger of Allah, Allah bless him and give him peace, said: “This ['Abd Allah's last expression] is how it was revealed to me”. At that point, doubt crept into 'Abd Allah. He said: “If Muhammad is truthful, then I was inspired just as he was; and if he is lying, I have uttered exactly what he did utter”.* Hence Allah's words (and who saith: I will reveal the like of that which Allah hath revealed). *The man renounced Islam.* This is also the opinion of Ibn 'Abbas according to the report of al-Kalbi. 'Abd al-Rahman ibn 'Abdan informed us> Muhammad ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Nu'aym> Muhammad ibn Ya'qub al-Umawi> Ahmad ibn 'Abd al-Jabbar> Yunus ibn Bukayr> Muhammad ibn Ishaq> Shurahbil ibn Sa'd who said: “This verse was revealed about 'Abd Allah ibn Sa'd ibn Abi Sarh. Prophet Muhammad, the genius that he was, could easily have started a new religion like Gautama Buddha or Guru Nanak did. Instead he adopted all the prophets, rituals, way of worship (namaz), laws, etc, from Judaism. He also accepted Jesus as a prophet as well as Jesus' virgin birth. In the beginning Muslims used to pray facing Jerusalem. The more I read Hadith (Shahi Bukhari), the accounts of Prophet Muhammad's friends and family members, e.g., his wife, Aisha's accounts, the more I am amazed by the simplicity, humbleness, practicality and greatness of this man!

Importantly, Muhammad never claimed to be a sage or a seer. He said, he was the Prophet of Allah, Who had ordained him to convey His message to His people.
Powerful emperors have admired Muhammad; presidents and prime ministers adore him; field marshals and generals have saluted him; and scholars and ideologues have written intellectual masterpieces on this man, Muhammad.
Muhammad gave women the right to question. Muhammad gave women the right to defend their honour. Muhammad gave women the right to choose life partner in marriage. Muhammad granted women the right to inherit property. Muhammad granted women the right to earn a respectable living. Muhammad granted women the right to participate in public life and vote her views and opinion.12 A Muslim woman can even retain her own family name upon marriage, rather than taking up the name of her husband. This way, she remains her own very person, with her own identity.

Do you know the Story of Abd Allah ibn Sa'd ibn Abi Sarh? Its about this verse:
*Quran 23,14*
Then We made the sperm-drop into a clinging clot, and We made the clot into a lump [of flesh], and We made [from] the lump, bones, and We covered the bones with flesh; then We developed him into another creation. *So blessed is Allah, the best of creators.*
(Who is guilty of more wrong than he who forgeth a lie against Allah, or saith: I am inspired…) [6:93]. This was revealed about the liar, Musaylimah al-Hanafi. This man was a soothsayer who composed rhymed speech and claimed prophethood. He claimed that he was inspired by Allah. (… and who saith: I will reveal the like of that which Allah hath revealed?) [6:93]. *This verse was revealed about 'Abd Allah ibn Sa'd ibn Abi Sarh.* This man had declared his faith in Islam and so the Messenger of Allah, Allah bless him and give him peace, called him one day to write something for him. *When the verses regarding the believers were revealed (Verily, We created man from a product of wet earth…) [**23:12**-14], the Prophet dictated them to him. When he reached up to (and then produced it as another creation), 'Abd Allah expressed his amazement at the precision of man's creation by saying (So blessed be Allah, the Best of Creators!). The Messenger of Allah, Allah bless him and give him peace, said: “This ['Abd Allah's last expression] is how it was revealed to me”. At that point, doubt crept into 'Abd Allah. He said: “If Muhammad is truthful, then I was inspired just as he was; and if he is lying, I have uttered exactly what he did utter”.* Hence Allah's words (and who saith: I will reveal the like of that which Allah hath revealed). *The man renounced Islam.* This is also the opinion of Ibn 'Abbas according to the report of al-Kalbi. 'Abd al-Rahman ibn 'Abdan informed us> Muhammad ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Nu'aym> Muhammad ibn Ya'qub al-Umawi> Ahmad ibn 'Abd al-Jabbar> Yunus ibn Bukayr> Muhammad ibn Ishaq> Shurahbil ibn Sa'd who said: “This verse was revealed about 'Abd Allah ibn Sa'd ibn Abi Sarh. The latter said: 'I will reveal the like of that which Allah has revealed', and renounced Islam. When the Messenger of Allah, Allah bless him and give him peace, entered Mecca, this man fled to 'Uthman [ibn 'Affan] who was his milk brother. 'Uthman hid him until the people of Mecca felt safe. He then took him to the Messenger of Allah, Allah bless him and give him peace, and secured an amnesty for him”.
