    I’m due to give birth in 3 days and I have been frantically scouring TH-cam for best freezer prep videos. Mostly just highly processed meals, meals I wouldn’t like or videos that are WAY too long. Just stumbled on your channel and currently binging all your chicken marinades. Love the simplicity of marinades and your video style. Great tips with clear and simple instructions. I’m so excited to prep all the chicken marinades on your playlist! Thank you so much! You give me hope! P.s definitely got a new subscriber! Keep up great videos!

      Congratulations on the new arrival!! And thank YOU for trying my marinades! I hope having prepped chicken in the freezer ready to go will be helfpul in the first few weeks (I have 3kids so I can attest to that zombie stage the first month or two...). I hope my videos bring you lots of helpful ideas for years to come!

    Oh this is good to know! I often cook for my family, so I'll use this when I'm tired and not willing to make a while marinade, just outta make sure I don't forget it!

    Can i freeze it again if i I'm only planning to use half or part of it after thawing?

      If raw or cooked food is thawed in the refrigerator, it is safe to refreeze it without cooking or heating, but it's not recommended. You can always pack smaller portions.

    Do you put the marinated meat in the freezer first? Or do you allow the meat to marinate for a while in the fridge and then put in the freezer?

      As shown in the video, you can fill your bag with the chicken + marinade and go straight to freezer.

    Howlong the marinated chicken can be stored in a freezer

    • @MOMables

      I only store it for about 3 months (although it can be kept longer). After that, I feel like it looses some quality.

    So I can cook straight out of the freezer and not need to thaw it once marinated?

      If you watch the video you'll see that I talk a lot about the thawing & cooking process. You have to thaw it to cook it.

    Why did you say to discard the marrinade once thawed?

    • @MOMables
      @MOMables  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Great Q'! because it's been sitting in raw chicken juice and bacteria can grow in it.

      @@MOMables might as well throw the chicken out too, its been sitting in raw chicken juice and bacteria can grow in it.

      I think what she meant was discard any excess marinade and do not reuse it.
