Interesting. All this time, I thought that fire extinguisher ratings and types were worldly standardized. If I travel, it would certainly be confusing to choose the proper extinguisher and use it along with the proper fuel for which it's intended should I need to use one...seemingly such as the case would be if one traveled to here and needed to be able to understand how NFPA 10 classifies fire extinguishers in order to be used properly as intended. You've opened my eyes.
Very much dependent on what exactly is burning, but usually it's not until you're in the realm of Class D fires where that becomes much of an issue. For example if it's a sodium and gasoline fire, then sodium carbonate would be a good choice. When in doubt Halon or Halotron BrX would probably be less potentially hazardous than most other options (water, CO2, Purple-K, foam, etc.) but it's extremely expensive and usually reserved for special applications like aircraft and essential computer server rooms.
The instructor was very knowledgable and seemed to enjoy teaching the class personally I love 👍🏻👍🏻
Great course, very helpful, Thanks a lot

The Dry Chemical is just the same with the Dry Powder right?
Dry chemical sounds way broader than dry powder.
I could also include non water based foams or liquids.

Seems like dry powder seems to have a broad spectrum of use cases here.
I was wondering what could extinguish fires that involve multiple cases.

class C is electrical
Only in US. British standard C is flammable gasses
Firexo puts out all fires doesn't it?
By the way, there is not a Class F extinguisher, its called Class K for cooking oils like animal fats and oils.
Hi dear. This is the difference in american fire classification and european fire classification system. Class F and K are same thing otherwise.
What about class k??
Class k = class F. US vs British standards
