2019 hiking in Bulgaria: Pirin, Rila, Vitosha - Thru-hike Europe LOG#30

Finally in Bulgaria! However, our last kilometers in Greece had some surprises for us. The National Park of the Lake Kerkini is a pure wonder and left us with an amazing memory before reaching the 14th country of this hike across Europe.
What do you know about Bulgaria? How does it like? We actually had no idea and were not disappointed. The mountains and the lakes of the Pirin National Park left us speechless. We crossed this amazing place until Bansko with our guest Maya. Have you heard about the Koncheto ridge? This place comes from another world!!
From there, we met with Tom, the next and 30th guest and hiked across the mountains of Rila, slept in many mountain huts and shelters, climbed Malyovitsa peak before reaching the Seven Rila Lakes, one of the most famous natural site in Bulgaria.
We climbed on Vitosha, this mountain which is literally in the suburb of Sofia and said goodbye to Tom.
We enjoyed the city for a few days, made great new friends and we headed towards... Serbia!
