Sincerely bravo to you all..! Beautifully filmed and edited with great sensitivity and I am so happy you discovered one of my favourite places in Greece at Lake Kerkini where I have spent a long time exploring all the wildlife there.. I wish you great travels in the future and hope you will one day return again to my beloved Greece. g
What a wonderful series! We had the pleasure of just scratching the surface of Epirus for our honeymoon some 15 years ago. It was far and away our favorite part of the country - Vikos Gorge, the stone bridges of Kipi, great food, wonderful people. Thank you for your work and your adventurous spirits. The only problem now is deciding which country should come next!
Hahaha Thank you so much for those words 😍 This adventure has been an open window on the wonders of Europe, we cannot really decide which country we liked the most! Very glad we could make some of your memories alive!
I’ve loved watching your videos. They show the nature, the history, the people of area and their unique culture. Have been to northern Greece a couple of times and the landscape and nature is incredible with very warm people. Thank you for sharing :)
Man, my dream is to move to Greece, and just walk. Just walk and hike everywhere, enjoy everything along the way, mountains, forests, obscure locations. That’s the best way to witness nature and feel as your ancestors, walking from city-state to city-state, gives you a new view on life, on nature, on everything really. You guys truly experienced something very few have, I find that amazing!
Thank you! And good luck with that... Greece was one of the most difficult country for hiking, it seems that almost nobody anymore there. The trails are in terrible shape, it's such a shame :(
DEUX PAS VERS L'AUTRE Yeah, the trails do look bad, but on the upside, it’s more untouched nature! I guess people really only bother going to the islands there, it’s a shame because every part of the country has hidden beauties.
@@ByZHellas The height of Summer is NOT hiking season in Greece. Too hot.. Only foreigners hike then. If they are unprepared and happy-go-lucky this often ends in a rescue operation.
@@razisn surely this vines were not 6 month old ! It was at least 2 years these trails were not cleaned properly. As you can imagine it is somehow easy to tell for us if a trail is maintened or not after hiking a dozen thousand kilometers.... But your trails deserves it ! Please give it some effort !
Oui on a enchaîné les invités après la Grèce puis on a eu du mal à trouver quelqu'un pour nous faire les sous-titres en grec, d'où la publication tardive ! Merci !!! 😊

Very nice video. But I have to say you have been negligent. I posted the below under another video of yours but I thought it would be informative to post it here too. While watching your first Greece video I was thinking to myself these guys have been lucky not needing rescuing and then I watched your Pelion video... You keep on saying that people do not hike in Greece. Oh they do. It's far from the national pastime but many do. But usually not in the height of summer and mostly in an organised manner using good maps or guides. Not in a happy-go-lucky way.. Not all paths are well maintained as there are many thousands of kilometres of them. Not all of them are used by hikers. Many of them are left unmaintained since they used to serve communication between villages by pack animals for which there's no need anymore. Spring and fall are the main hiking seasons but Winter as well for more hard core stuff. Every summer Greek rescue services are called to save lots of stranded foreign hikers at great expense. Sadly a few of them do not make it... There are probably more rescue operations conducted in Summer than during the hiking and mountaineering seasons.. Falls and heatstroke are the most common causes of deaths. You have been lucky. Do proper research next time. For example, trying to cross the Albanian-Greek border illegally as if you were crossing from Belgium to France shows you had not done proper research. Drug and people smuggling is rampant over there. Hiking over Pindus just by yourselves without anybody knowing about it could have ended in disaster. Not knowing when refuges are open and not knowing that for many you can get the keys for from a nearby village so you can stay and self cater is another example of not having done your proper homework. Most refuges are run by the local mountaineering clubs and they are open mainly in the hiking and mountaineering season Spring, Fall and for the mountaineering ones Winter.
Ahahahah please.... Everything went well, if we had to do it again we wouldn't do it any different. The only thing that turned weird was the only time we actually trusted some national trails to be clean. But obviously it needs a little more money from the EU ! Other than that the disaster was very far and Greece was certainly one of the easiest country in terms of technicity on the trails. No your message sound weird and far from the reality. Now if you want to talk about the people of the mountains, refuge keepers, rescuers ... None of them we met was actually in shape, just heavyweight cigaret smokers with a very little respect for the environment and English skills that were not making them able to give any information. Your mountains are dying, and it is a shame. Just travel a little and you will see it, like everyone else we talked with about the Greek mountains. Please wake up, your mountains and your nature deserves it ! And also .... Clean your countrybif you love it ! It was so sad to see this amount of trash and see this extreme little concern about environment. Don't bother answering this ! Please !
@@FurtherStories Your luck will run out if you keep on with this attitude. I'am 60 years old and you're what, in your twenties. You have much to learn. Good luck. Hope you never come back here because I don't want to spend money to rescue you. Some people rescued you and treated you well FOR FREE and you have such things to say. Shame on you. I could tell you to read all of my comment again to realise your mistakes but I know it will be hopeless.
@@razisnOh my friend, read yourself. You sound so extremerightwingish... Trust me ... You are blinded. I am 36 and I know what I mean when I tell you reading you is no surprise. You are a stereotype and we met many like you. You don't personally pay for much. EU does :( Very best!
Sad to see nationalism pop up even in this beautiful video. Don't forget the Greeks(minority) of Albania my friend, myself being a part of it. Claiming lands by each country will not take us anywhere else but conflict and this is the last thing we need as peoples.
This is one of the best videos we have seen. Beautifully photographed and a story sensitively told. Magnifique, mes amis.
Thank you so much!! We're very glad you liked it 😁 Again, we tried to show a different picture of the countries we cross

1/4 of the Greece is Albanian lands. In Greece are lot of old albanian population called: ''Arvanitas''

Yes.... Something is sure. We are all humans and these borders are just a recent thing in human history. Let's focus on what matters.
