    I look forward to the day I can build one, or two or more of these cob huts, they are amazing, beautiful, sustainable, cosy, affordable...I could go on! Your method kind of reminds me of a technique I used many years ago to build outside seating on a veranda in Jamaica. I'm already planning out a design. Thank you miguel...love, love, love your work; one day I may just connect with you to come and give us a helping hand. 😊💜...

    I was amazed with you and the team. You addressed homelessness, taught those who didn't know about natural building, made people feel accepted and built a self sufficient community. ❤️

    WOW !!! Another Amazing Project Miguel !! I am totally into what you are doing here with your Palatable Cobin System... Really loving the ease of building with this method, not to mention the affordability of the completed structure.. I am on the road currently with my work, but once I get back to my place in New Mexico, I am definitely going to designate a location on the property to build one of these incredible structures..
    Thanks So Much for Sharing your vision with everyone...

    Beautiful build! Was wondering what happens to the cob on window glass with condensation? Also how long would a pallet covin structure last if properly protected in a monsoon country like Nepal? Hi there

    • @cobalot9
      @cobalot9  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Tamara, I have never had an issue with condensation on the windows actually... These structures would do great in an area like Nepal. May just want to build the roof first to protect the walls from an unexpected monsoon rain...

      @@cobalot9 thank you and also Tamara for this question and answer. I was just wondering how would these cobins fare in the UK climate and I guess if they are great for Nepal, they must be good for the UK too. UK does have cob houses indeed but your paletable cobins are totally unique, I haven't seen anything similar anywhere else. Me and my partner are planning to build ourselves one to live in on our land and Id love to build a smaller one on wheels as my therapy room. Thanks again for fantastic inspiring work and tutorials, they really are amazing and priceless!!

    Great video thank you.🤠 I was wondering what the difference would be for building in areas that have 15 degrees cold for a month but six months of very wet season. What percentage of glass wall needs to come down and if a pallet-cob provides enough insulation for that type of weather. Thank you.

      Hi, yes, you can build a Palletable Cobin in those kinds of conditions, but you will still need some sort of heat source on the inside to stay warm in the winter

    i was thinking about doing a lime wash on my house but then i started to wonder if i could use something from my back yard. i know about a foot down there is this vein of caliche and clay mixed together. i used to think it was all caliche until i just researched it and realized there is white clay in there too because not all of it was hard like rock, a decent amount of it was soft and clay like and was exactly like clay i had played with in school. it did have hard white chunks mixed in which i realize now is caliche. i'm trying to figure out what are the best uses for this.

    Instruction on the foundation would have been nice. After all, everything sits on the foundation

    • @cobalot9
      @cobalot9  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Karen so for the foundation of these cabins all that is needed is to make 10 holes in the ground and set your upright posts in concrete in those holes and then put bass Rock in between the post and on the floor and then put some sort of seal plate in between the upright posts and then start attaching your pallets to the uprights. All the weight of the structure is on your upright post and not so much on the pallets in between. It's not necessary to do a whole rebel trench foundation on the whole structure when it's just the upright supports that are carrying the weight. I have lots of other videos that shows the process of putting up the uprights. I hope this explanation is helpful to you as I do want people to be able to watch my videos and build their own little cobin.
