My Condolences for the loss of your Mom. I lost mine in 2017, so I understand the feelings you are going thru. Your videos and commentary are appreciated. As a Senior person, one realizes that no one is immortal. My clock is ticking, but I intend to enjoy every last second (which includes watching your videos). So keep your chin up; you are amazing, and you will go on to enjoy many interesting experiences in the future. We don't know what the future will bring, but heck, I'm going to hang on to find out. I used to travel every year since I was 5 months old and loved flying around but after Covid haven’t traveled anywhere, found this channel about 3 weeks ago and idk how I finished watching every single one of his videos all 47 of them

Great video. I worked in the Middle-East for some years and can attest to the fact that the Omanis are the most friendly, hospitable people in that region. Lovely to know that this is reflected in their cabin crews.

Oman Air and sultanate of Oman itself is so underrated, used to use them all the time to fly back home to Nepal from London.
Unfortunately Oman Air now use their low cost subsidiary Salam Air to fly to Kathmandu from Muscat which kind of puts me off using them.
Sorry to hear that, I do wish that they had more routes, especially to North America since I think ultra-long haul would be where this seat really shines.
@@VicariousVoyager it seems to be the way these days for flights to Kathmandu. Some Middle eastern airlines send their low cost subsidiary airline from their hub to Kathmandu since the world opened up after the COVID 19 ok pandemic - Etihad with Air Arabia, Emirates with Fly Dubai.
And yes I think Oman Air will continue to expand their fleet, especially with this introduction to the one world alliance. So perhaps the ultra long haul days of Oman Air is coming, and I for one am all for it!
I unfortunately did not see your videos for a while after you took a break (I think) but I just stumbled upon this one and I am SO happy to have found it and you again! Watching your videos is such an escapism for me and I always immensely enjoy them (and usually find myself even laughing out loud!) Thank you for all you do!

I startled one of my co-workers as I literally yelled out, "YES!" upon seeing that there was a new Vicarious Voyager video alert on my Notifications. I offered to pay for the cleaning service for my co-worker since she spat up a bit of coffee when startled. But since we wear hospital scrubs, she had an extra set in her locker and deemed it unnecessary for the laundry service. I offered to pay for another hot caffeinated beverage to which she gladly agreed.
