Ridiculously easy 2 install.

Took me this long to get new slip ons. Just kidding. But me and my boy (11yrs.) are putting them on today. We went with Vance &Hines eliminators. What’s your thoughts on my choice ? First slip on job…. Lol
Good luck with it!! That will be time well spent with your boy!! Let us know how it goes -Chad
Nice
Thanks
Buying these for mine tomorrow, 580.00 can't beat that. I also confirmed with Harley Davidson that I don't need Re-Mapped. The dealer I bought my bike from said I do, another one said I don't. I called Harley Warranty dept because I don't want to void my lifetime Warranty. They confirmed to me that it don't need Re-Mapped. It would only need done if I change the headers or air.cleaner and if I do it must be done by Harley. It's a shame the dealer I bought the bike from is still trying to milk me in their service dept. I will be checking everything when I have something done, including the price of my first oil change. I wish I had bought from another dealer who has been helping me with the decisions when they don't have too.
Harry A The ECU has a 10% variance in change so it can correct itself when it notices something different about the bike. Slip on mufflers right increase power in most cases, but not by very much. For those 2 reasons you don’t need a tune. But you could get one if you wanted to, but why waste money on a tune now when your ECU is correcting it for you.
I am in MA. It seems the same at every Harley dealer service dept. I feel their hand in my pocket as I pull into the parking lot. It would be nice to be appreciated for the $30k plus $2k priority service I just paid for. Ask for an accurate estimate? HA! Always a guessing game.
Welcome to owning a Harley
Does these come with hardware my stock CVo slips have the nut welded on the inside off the rear bracket.
Hello thanks for the video. Do you know if these slip ons reduce back pressure? If so did you notice a reduction in torque? Thankyou
We don’t believe they do reduce back pressure and have noticed no reduction in torque. Thanks for watching.
Was trying to figure out which muffler to go with 4 inch or 4 1/2 Rinehart sent me a 10% coupon I will go with the 4 1/2’s
Thanks for watching and good luck with the 4 1/2's.
Love Rineharts! About to install the new 4.5s on my CVO Limited.
Awesome!!!! Thanks for watching
Are these the DBX 4.5 inch?? I currently have cobra slip on and arent happy at all.. these sound great!
The pipes in the video are the 4.0 slip ons. They are not the DBX 4.5. But they do sound good. Thanks for watching
The rail bolts go in like that with nut on top ??
Shoot Iv been doing it opposite.
Haha hopefully it helped. Thanks for watching. -Chad
How much louder in decibel. If you know. I had SE street Cannons to loud on long runs.
I apologize we don’t have a decibel meter so I can’t answer the question.

Hi how far do you have the mufflers out from the rubber grummet? I notice mine left muffler was sliding out by 1/4 inches comparing to the right side, and notice chipping where the left muffler meet the heat shield. I am thinking maybe I pushed the muffler too deep and the heat shield is touching the muffler and the vibration is push it out (leaving the chipping in the process.)
Yea the muffler did get pushed in too deep. When they are assembled correctly it will not touch the heat shield. You want to make sure if you are looking at the rear of the bike both mufflers should look even with each other. If you have further questions feel free to email us commonmanbagger@gmail.com I can send pictures to help your further
@@commonmanbagger9165 thanks. I just pulled it out a bit so the heat shield is not touching the mufflers. I notice there is a drop on the muffler and I originally had in midway so now it’s at the end of the drop and I can see some space. The right side is more forgiving cause the space is wider. Thanks for your help.
So if you removed the cat on stock headers would it get much louder ?
Yes, however if it’s a newer bike it will void the warranty. Thanks for watching.
Isn't the catalytic convertor in the muffler??
No. The catalytic converter is in the header pipe. The baffles are located in the muffler.
What the name and full name for that muffler and is it 4 or 4.5
Rinehart Racing 4" Slip-On Mufflers Black with Black End Caps. The manufacturer part number is 500-0107
How many pounds torque you think is needed
So I researched your torque question a bit and could not find an answer. The setup on this bike is the stock header pipe, slip ons and stock air cleaner. Without putting it on a Dyno I can't really give you an answer. -Chad
1st...nice sound
Thanks
The throttle side pipe end is bigger, correct?
Both should be the same size
Common Man Bagger FYI: on my street glide standard, the throttle side is larger
@@commonmanbagger9165 The throttle side muffler takes a larger muffler clamp on M8's. Hence the 15mm deep socket for the muffler clamp.
The dealer said I needed to add a tuner, are they just trying to make money?
If you are only adding slip ons we believe that you do not need to add a tuner. However if you are going to add a high flow air filter and headers then we would recommend a tuner. Be aware though that if you are under warranty it has to be a Harley brand tuner done at a dealership. The bike we did this video on has gone about 4K miles since the install with no tuner and runs well.
yes, read my later post. hman642002@yahoo.com
for slip on only.
I put mine on today noticed a slight reduction in low end torque. Probably will get a tune. Have a 20 road king standard 107
You're ok without a tuner unless you remove the catalytic converter .
Slip on only won't need a tuner

Ehhh...sounds stock..
Not as good as a vtwin sound !
