Can you advise if the laptop compartment (and perhaps the tablet compartment too) is adequately offset or cushioned from the bottom? In case of dropping the bag a little too hard on occasion.
And after using it for a few months, do you think this brief would be a good personal item bag for flights for under seat storage?

Would the laptop pocket be able to squeeze in a 14" laptop with a protective sleeve?

Thanks for the review. Do you suppose the iPad Pro 12.9” will also fit in the tablet section?

No problem! I think it should as that pocket is almost as wide as the laptop pocket

What do you take with you on your commute? Does the Aer Commuter Brief 2 fit the… brief for you?!

Almost sold the moment you showed the earphone case.. I carry one to work everyday and am looking for a messenger/brief solution rather than a backpack.. but need to be able to carry those items that drove me away from my prior messenger over to a backpack in the first place.
Do you think this Aer brief will take a 14" laptop (dell), and ipad 12.9" in case, a tech pouch, and the earphone case?
I too am planning to move away from my Peak Design Everyday Backpack… It has the space, clearly, but something about the way it carries is very unsatisfying.. The backpack slings are more style than substance, it doesnt carry comfortably at all and doesnt hang like its has a care to manage the load bearing.. its just fastened to the back of the pack and the carry 'module' just hangs on there inelegantly IMO.. I've had it nearly a year, and know I have to move on, but still need to carry what I need to carry.

Hey, thanks for watching. It’s actually not that easy a task finding a bag that’s just right is it! I returned quite a few before testing this one and deciding to was ideal for my needs.
I’d say that it should comfortably handle the items you’ve mentioned. Only factor would maybe be if the tech pouch was a particularly thick one, then it could be a squeeze, but should still fit. Plus you do have all that great organisation space on the front of the bag which is ideal for some of those smaller bits and pieces.
For reference in the video I’m using a 13 inch MacBook Pro and 11inch iPad Pro in the Logitech combo touch case which is pretty thick, but the sleeves are big enough to fit bigger laptops and iPads.

@@techmenowofficial I took the leap and bought this bag. It arrived just yesterday, I was easily able to transfer everything I carried in my Peak Design Everyday Backpack into it with no problem. Maybe they lengthened the shoulder strap? I'm 6'3" and it seems to have the length I need for both comfortable cross-body and shoulder. Strap is extended at near max length but it gives me the length with the padded part of the strap comfortably on my shoulder.. Hmm… I'll see how it goes as I live with it longer.
Anyhow, I'm finally able to set my Peak Design Everyday aside… thank gawd… I struggled with this bag, and never hung in there so much for so long with any bag. I don't know why.. maybe because it cost me $300 and you have to look hard to find a review that does not rave about this bag, so you start thinking maybe its you doing something wrong… I dunno.
Aer commuter brief 2 holds everything I carry:
      14" Dell Latitude
12.9" iPad Pro in protective supcase case
AC adapter for laptop carried in water bottle pocket. (I'm not a water bottle carrying kinda guy anyhow… lots of water at work and home and inbetween..)
      full Peak Design Tech pouch
Jabra 85h Over the ear noise cancelling headphones - in case.
40% ortho keyboard in carry case.
backup earbuds and cabled ear phones.
      eyeglass in case.
      Logitech everywhere mouse
spare usb a, c, micro cables.
      USB mini-hub
hand sanitizer and dude wipes 😜
      2 pens w/ 1 small 6x3 notebook.
Only been a day, but carries effortlessly, does not feel like it carries 'heavy' like the prior backpack.
Early days, but so far, so good…

Glad to hear it’s working well! I have the strap quite short which is how I like to carry messenger bags and that’s why the padding only just falls on the shoulder. Causes me no issues though and I still find it comfortable. Holding up well to the abuse of daily life too!
