  • Today, thanks to Mini of South Miami, I was able to review the 2025 #mini #countryman S!!
    The Countryman rides on the same chassis as both the BMW X1 and X2 ride on. This generation of chassis has changed dramatically with new improvements to the unibody structure, updated suspension and a better tuned engine and transmission. Speaking of Engine and transmission, this model features the 2.0T 4 cylinder that makes 241 HP and 295 lb-ft of torque which is more than the outgoing model. It’s linked to a 7 Speed DCT where as the old gen had a horribly tuned 8 speed auto. Power is sent to all 4 wheels.
    On the interior we also see a major difference. Gone is the only outdated systems and new is the large 9.4 inch touchscreen display. This display is the first of its kind in an automotive as it has an OLED display that was created by Samsung. This is also the iDrive 9 system that has google embedded operating system. One key thing to note is that this touchscreen display houses all the information. From your speed all the way to your fuel levels it has everything. Apple CarPlay and android auto are standard but the Apple CarPlay doesn’t look that good in it.
    The exterior also gets a lovely upgrade with new LED headlights, better safety systems, boxy styling and an overall 5” increase in length compared to the outgoing.
    Huge thanks to Mini Of South Miami. Make sure to Ask for Anthony!

      Completely understandable. Last gen is still a great model all in all. I know that JCW one is sought after.

    Thanks for a great review! Most detailed one I’ve seen. I also like that you’re giving critiques e.g. the unknown durability and practicality of the fabric dash and door trims. I test drove one today here in Michigan and was really impressed! It was a joy to drive, especially in Sport mode (Wooohooo!). I have ordered the exact same exterior with the black contrasting roof.

      Thank you so much I appreciate it! I’m happy you were able to order one. I’m sure you’ll be ecstatic to own it. I personally think it’s the best looking out of the new generation of Mini’s.

    Interior materials look like a downgrade. What are you going to advise customers about cleaning that fabric dash and door panels? The Countryman is a family car... I can only imagine what kids will do to that door material in the back. The seats look nice, just like my lounge leather in my 2019 which still looks brand new. Very detailed review though, nice job.

      I appreciate it! That was one thing I’m still wondering. What if certain liquids get into the material? Dust is another factor to consider. I love the overall interior and think it’s impressive but a part of me is wondering if the American market should of gotten a different dash and door material difference from Europe

    Big cop out by mini, the base model 1.5c does not have the union jack lights option. You need at least level 1 package to have the union jack lights to work

    There is very little design style and theme. The older mini had more symmetry and round design style throughout

      One thing I’m noticing that a trend right now with vehicles from any brand is less round more boxy. Boxy is the new styling for brands I.e. Mini, Kia, Toyota etc.

    The ride quality is terrible, far too stiff, you feel every bump and imperfection in the road…. Look out if you have any spinal issues…..😱😱

    • @soflojoshautoreview
      @soflojoshautoreview  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You probably drove a JCW because this Countryman S doesn’t feel stiff what so ever. The ride feels great. The only level of stiffness is that the 20” rims eat into the sidewall. Seats are insanely comfortable in my opinion. Also if I’m driving a mini I want to feel the road imperfections through the steering wheel instead of being less connected.

      Get the Sport trim as the adaptive suspension with 19" alloys will help in that regard.
