I have Moon Atmakarka in Scorpio in the 3rd house and im tired of sacrifing myself for other people and not given really anything back in return. I have went out of my way to help people and even went broke because i wanted to make others happy at my expense. As ive gotten older i could care less if people suffer because ive done enough suffering most of my life. Now im taking care of me

I have moon as my atmakarka in punarvasu in 8th house, aspected by both saturn and ketu. Mercury is sitting across in mula. My moon is also in kemdrum. This is one heck of a heavy combo and I've felt like I've been the ER doctor for everyone (many times not by choice) all my life. I'd repeat the advice noted that even with the best of intentions, sometimes we have to explicitly tell people that we're spent and can't keep on giving or draw boundaries for the constant dumping from others.
Hmm, my Rahu in Revati as a Pushya ASC is 16 degrees, with Venus (DK), Mercury and Jupiter. Subtracting it would be 31 degrees, which would be higher than my Saturn at at 27. Since it is over the 30 degrees of a Rasi, would this be classified as my AK? Based on your example, as I have Rahu in my 9th, I have had that EXACT experience, and resonate strongly with this. I grew up strictly Pentecostal Christian, even though I have always been drawn to the occult since a child, astrology, and Eastern religions & languages/characters. I studied Japanese language for years, have always loved the way the way Sanskrit looked, and have had a interest in learning both Sanskrit and Sumerian. Hello, I have moon atmakaraka in purva badrahpada pada 2. I have researched about this nakshatra a lot. As you maybe agree it's very intense, unpredictable, and it can harm. Moon is difficult in purva badrahpada but Venus I have seen is most challenging. My Father has your exact combination... and I realized because a Venus person basically wants beauty, pleasure of luxuries and relationships purva badrahpada will always bring destruction to those things because of it's violent nature. Venus quality is soft and almost opposite to what purva badrahpada is.... what is she doing , the planet of love, in that harsh position ? This is very mystical because this creates maximum contrariness. Like someone wants real love but will break it violently, say the worst things etc. because they can't help it. it's your langna and your atmakaraka that means it is very karmic. I would advise you to search Inside yourself or with the help of people you trust for the reasons, to understand better why you got this and to heal or accept. Also I realized the violence can be expressed in a non harmful way for example by creating art oft of it- and Venus represents art. Everybody is scared of my art because it is very dark, but for me it is the best way to handle the extreme energys of purva badrahpada. We can't change the nature of the nakshatra but we can make the best out of it. Wish you the best.

I worked with tax consulting, insurance...but I really become a teacher/researcher of economic themes. My Moon is in Gemini, Punarvasu Nakshatra - Pada 1.

Is there any complications in atmakaraka if two planets at close by 2 to 3 minutes (not even degrees) for that position? (Given say, one planet of the two is not a friend of the ascendant lord while the other planet is an enemy. In which case, this becomes a bit important.)
The LAGNA Degree and the Degree of Atmakara is very nearer ,within 2 degrees and higher than the LAGNA Degree, read the chart from the Atmakara making it as LAGNA. You will get precise results.

The decision whether to include Rahu or not as AK is one of the things I hate about astrology. Where did subtracting 15° come from? Why not subtract from 30°, since it’s retro?
Yes because it is always in retro, you have to subtract. If Rahu is in a 3 degrees in a sign, that means it has moved 27 degrees in a sign which probably gives maturation. For example, Sun in 1 degree is the beginning of a sign because it is always forward motion but Rahu always goes backwards and 1 degree would mean that it has proceeded 29 degrees already. I hope this makes sense. Also subtracting 15 degrees come from his own natal chart I guess because he has 15 degrees rahu (I thin I heard him saying that but not really sure)

Well degree wise rahu is my atmakarak but ketu is with lagna lord so ketu also contributes. Moon is amatyakaraka. Through this explanation I would say I identify majorly with what was being shared ove this video on moon then 2ndly with Rahu. I have motherly concern for almost anyone. My friends too call me mommy because of that. I love all cultures and I have Rahu in sagittarius but I am deeper into my own religion, faith and spirituality than into other's religion. Though with all heart I respect every other religious or spiritual path and encourage all in their respective faith. Like ketu, I desire moksh and I think almost everyday I talk to my mother about moksh and the word moksh/salvation just stays on my tongue and mind. My life is difficult by what my parents say but I do not feel that. I feel very optimistic and am grateful to life for all bad phases too. I think this is about jupiter being my darakaraka. But yes initially I have been a Rahu in anger and fight then gone through transformation like Maharishi Valmiki who authored Ramayana. So definitely from hell to heaven transformation. I had few impulsive tendencies which I could consciously give up through deep spiritual journey. My opinion is that all planets work so closely together that fixing one trait and telling yes this particular planet/node is my atmakarak is difficult to do.

So question.. what does one do if they have 3 potential Atmakarakas? My Saturn, Rahu, & Ketu are all at 25°. I'm listening to this rather late, so it may not be seen, but your explanation of determining Rahu as AK is new to me - I have always judged Rahu as AK if it is at the lowest degree in the chart. You say to use 15 degrees in determining this - is there a book, article or another lecture you could suggest for getting greater clarity on this? If using 8 karaka system we only use Rahu, we never take Ketu to be AK

Rahu and Ketu have the same degrees traveled, so can they be individually seen as AKs or do they have to be considered together
Ketu has no desire to accomplish anything Rahu is the height of that individual if degree is AK

I hope this makes sense. Also subtracting 15 degrees come from his own natal chart I guess because he has 15 degrees rahu (I thin I heard him saying that but not really sure)

Well degree wise rahu is my atmakarak but ketu is with lagna lord so ketu also contributes. Moon is amatyakaraka. Through this explanation I would say I identify majorly with what was being shared ove this video on moon then 2ndly with Rahu. I have motherly concern for almost anyone. My friends too call me mommy because of that. I love all cultures and I have Rahu in sagittarius but I am deeper into my own religion, faith and spirituality than into other's religion. Though with all heart I respect every other religious or spiritual path and encourage all in their respective faith. Like ketu, I desire moksh and I think almost everyday I talk to my mother about moksh and the word moksh/salvation just stays on my tongue and mind. My life is difficult by what my parents say but I do not feel that. I feel very optimistic and am grateful to life for all bad phases too. I think this is about jupiter being my darakaraka. But yes initially I have been a Rahu in anger and fight then gone through transformation like Maharishi Valmiki who authored Ramayana. So definitely from hell to heaven transformation. I had few impulsive tendencies which I could consciously give up through deep spiritual journey. My opinion is that all planets work so closely together that fixing one trait and telling yes this particular planet/node is my atmakarak is difficult to do.

So question.. what does one do if they have 3 potential Atmakarakas? My Saturn, Rahu, & Ketu are all at 25°. The descriptions given all resonate with me so would that mean I apply all of them in my life? Or is there still only 1 that can be the Atmakaraka? My Rahu/Ketu are in the exact same position at 25° 47' 47". Saturn is at 25° 10' 21". All 3 are Retrograde as well. What do I make of this? 😕
If Rahu is around 25° in your chart, then it wouldn’t apply because it would be around 5° due to retro( or 10° how he described it?)

Usually Rahu-ketu are not included in Atmakaraka................this is confusing and doesn't make sense to me.
Sanjay Rath is using only Rahu as atmakaraka, and calculate it by seeing how many degrees are left (you substract it to 30) in the sign as it is retrograde, for example if it is at 3 degree it is almost at the end, 30 - 3 would make it 27 degree and so if no planet has a higher degree then it becomes atmakaraka.

I'm listening to this rather late, so it may not be seen, but your explanation of determining Rahu as AK is new to me - I have always judged Rahu as AK if it is at the lowest degree in the chart. You say to use 15 degrees in determining this - is there a book, article or another lecture you could suggest for getting greater clarity on this?
