Finally I've found pepole I can relate to about talking to fast. I've always talked to fast and slurred my words I'm tired of hearing "what?" "Huh?" "Say it again?" . ITS SOOO embarrassing! What finally made me do something was today when I finally got up the courage to talk to my crush, it was so awkward so I just blurted out "I love elephants" he thought I said I am a elephant. It was cringy weird and embarrassing. Thanks for the tip Ill definatly use it tomorrow.
Update: nothing ever happened with me and that boy he ended getting a girlfriend. But I'm starting to talk more clearly now and its definitely brought up my confidence. I'm happy I found pepole just like me. One huge tip I have is to not give a shit what other people think about you just go with it and whatever happens happens.

So its nesessary to speak slower for the children and to try to sound more expresively and understandable . That also reduces the presere of the speraking in front of audience - those are just some kids , you know ;)

This is absolutely phenomenal! I do door knocking for living and sales for living going on 10+ years now. I am told constantly, "sloooow down, why do you talk so fast?" I then think to myself, "I guess I do, I didn't mean to." Then I become to aware and start to feel really bad about myself so much so I feel I have no control or technique, that I start just saying, "I guess this is my life now." My own relationships with friends, partners, and family have been disrupted or hurt because I become annoying with how fast and how much I have to say. This is starting to really teach me to slow down my thoughts and word count in my speech, that I think I will come off as a much more effective and clearer speaker. Thank you for the insight! 🙂

Great video! I agree with the video that slowing down speech could help outgrow stuttering. The positive effect is that speaking slower makes you feel more comfortable, whereas other people who speak slower have more time to double down on doubt to say a feared letter which means that 'confidence that you can move articulators during a speech block' helps in outgrowing stuttering

They often had trouble understanding me or I would be frustrated in not being able to get a point across in a conversation. Someone would ask me a question and I would think "I just said the answer to that.. weren't you even listening??" but now I realize its not their fault. When you talk quickly you sacrifice clarity in your speech. Slowing down using this technique has helped a lot

I recorded myself reading a scripture from the bible. It sounded pretty good. I often find myself speaking fast and pronouncing words wrong. My s and t sometimes are the worse. I saw in your video and I learn I need to slow now speaking. I am in law school currently and I want to speak clearly, so that others can understand me. I get excited about things in life and start to pronounce words wrong. Thanks for you video.

Great advice. I got an idea on how to solve this issue... Reading Out Loud articulating the words - also breathing is important and recording yourself. I will try and if you guys want I'll let you know what's happening

IMO speaking fast, even though it's often cool, it really makes a person seem like they are no confident enough. That's why I came to this video to get tips on how to speak slowly and CLEARLY.
