Hello Aleena , I recently found one of your videos on my TH-cam feed and I watched a few more after visiting your channel. While learning about etiquettes and trying to incorporate them into my daily life, I've always had a question on my mind which is ,"is it too late to start being / wanting to be elegant if I have already passed high school?" I know it sounds funny when I ask this because some people will say that now I am faking myself but looking back we were never taught any of these manners/etiquettes even though I went to a private school. At home, yes , my parents did discipline me throughout my childhood and teenage years but many a times I find myself in awkward situations especially during marriages or family gatherings or simply dining out and meeting family friends , relatives , etc. In school, my friends didn't really like "being elegant or polite" (their words not mine) and so to stick around I too had to act how they would and now that I look back I am filled with regret about how I might've been rude or impolite to a lot of people during my school years just to fit in. I really want to correct that and it has been working for a while now but the last time I met my friends , they commented that "I have changed and that now I'm trying to be a fake polite girl." I really don't know what to do , sometimes I feel like I should've just listened to my parents and joined a different friend circle. I really love my friends and they've been with me through middle and high school but sometimes they just call me fake for suddenly wanting to be polite and a little lady like, I have always liked being like this but in school I had to put on a different face to have some friends. This makes me feel like an imposter and I don't really know what to do.
