Oh wow, I didn't know about this one! I always loved the pochette metis style but it felt too big on me. I am a pochette accessoires gal, I like smaller bags for everyday. Now I want the east west, it looks absolutely ideal for me! 😍 Thank you for the review!
I may suggest something as I have a Pashli bag with the same closure. To avoid denting the bag while closing, just squeeze the opening bulbs, place the hook in the hole and let go of the bulbs. It doesn't satisfactionally click but you don't need to dent the bag that way 😁 I thought I'd share as maybe someone didn't think of closing it like that.

I agree in terms of paying more for the chain. It should be optional. I sold mine on the preloved market as I knew I would never use it. I also bought a silk twilly to wrap the handle as I don’t want it to get water marks.

I do agree with the chain! I’m going to try and sell mine. I think I need to wear mine longer cuz I can’t seem to fit that much in mine. I’m afraid of squashing my sunglasses lol

Hi again Amie! Could you compare this with the Croisette and YSL small puffer? I have this exact pochette métis ew and am struggling to decide on adding one of the other two. Mainly this will be casual or for travel purposes but I’d love to be able to dress up and down when going out to dinner or brunch. I just worry that traveling with the puffer might be a bit too heavy and I’ll stress crowds or scuffing it on walls and such. Thank you as always!
I have the original metis and I do love it. It's a 2019 bag and she's practically brand new as I don't wear her daily. This one is so cute!!! My only problem with new LV bags is that they have made the canvas thinner, less fabric and their prices higher!!! Insanity!!! The quality has def gone down and it makes me sad because LV is-was my absolute fave high end brand. Enjoy her, she is too cute :)

Does the insert compartment totally separates the interior or it leaves a gap on the bottom that allows things to move to the other side?
I wonder if you could sell the chain. It looks like it could be worn as a chunky chain necklace the ones that are in style now 😅
This bag is adorable. A few yrs ago I was going to purchase the larger one but I was disappointed with the feel of the hardware. The hardware felt cheap as if it had a coating on the gold hardware, which use to be brass, apparently brass is not used anymore. Also I have seen the corners of the flap start to turn up which is annoying to the eye and to me makes the bag look again cheap. I do have an older LV bag and the hardware feels so substantial I love it. Anyways great video.

Yeah agree if LV will give us the option to choose if we want the strap, chain or whatever it may be, that would be fantastic. Like the Speedy 20, the big strap is so ugly in my opinion and cost so much higher because of that. I love the Speedy 20 in Ebene but the strap 🤮.... Oh btw do you spray the vachetta leather with apple guard? Love this type of video.

I've been eyeing up the PM for quite some time, but saw the new Sand Dune Monogram version in the East-West and I am *obsessed*... I totally agree that it's bizarre that the smaller version is more expensive, however I did hear that apparently the smaller bags are harder/more time consuming to make and that contributes to the higher price. Still quite hefty for a canvas bag when you can get a leather empreinte for around the same price though!

Great review. However, I differ on the chain. In reality, at these prices, designers should give us choices - thin vs chunky chain.
Great video! You could sell the chain… I never like the leather strap from my Pochette accessories so I sold the leather strap and bought one that worked with my style, so definitely consider that!
The Onthego east west in Empreinte leather actually comes with quite a nice chain with leather entwined. I love your idea of picking your strap at check out! 😄

I agree about the chain and it felt so cheap. I was shocked to feel it in the boutique. That’s why I passed on this bag in the stores.
I feel that you don't tend to keep your monogram pieces... I think the empreinte version of this bag suits your style more.
Was considering getting this bag until I saw someone’s mother whom I know using it and thought, “well guess it’s her bag now” 😭
