    Im a birder from the island nation of Sri Lanka and I found your channel just today, i binge watched every video and i love the quality of the content. Your personality is just as colorful and fun as the birds you show.
    Bravo.

    On my bucket list also, Bob has the best videos for birders.

    Hi Bob. Wonderful video. Looking really cold but you had great observations. Greets Stefan

      It was cold, but there was little wind, on the best morning, so it felt normal...or at least normal by my northern Maine standards. Most of my luggage for the trip was long underwear, so the cold was quite comfortable.

      It was high atop my bucket list. Weather bad, owls scarce, and STILL awesome!

    We are going to add it to our list. The hawk owls looked amazing!

      I've seen a few. They are really spooky-looking when they gaze right at you.

    We saw 20 below on our trip a few years back but the birding was excellent. Missed only the Boreal Owl. As you say, many irruptive species. I hope you got to eat at the Wilbert Cafe on Route 53 where they had Sax-Zim Bog placemats and good food. Hope you got to Florida okay.

      Ouch! I included my meal at Wilbert Cafe, but then thought otherwise and sent that part of the video to the cutting room floor. Should have left it in. The place was GREAT! I would eat there regularly if I weren't 1400 miles away!

      I definitely recommend the cafe but don’t go there expecting high brow food!

    What are your thoughts on the combining of the Redpolls? I worked hard to find a Hoary and then I lost it.

    • @Bob_Duchesne
      @Bob_Duchesne  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Exactly! I worked REALLY hard on it, and hated to lose it. Ultimately, I don't argue with DNA analysis. Besides, if they ever split the red crossbills, I'll pick up a bunch of lifers.

      @Bob_Duchesne I need to keep a closer eye on the Red Crossbill types. I haven't gotten that detailed on my checklists.

    I am a bit surprised by the orange cap. I stay away from bright colors when birding and stick to brown, green, gray, and blue.

      I usually prefer a different cap, but when road birding, I favor visibility. Also, the camera has a pretty good zoom, so I don't have to crowd the birds. Plus, the feeder birds are so accustomed to people that they don't seem to care.
