Yes, thank you for the emphasis on the underside splash shield(s) many techs & ppl feel this is not essential component. The mfg put it there for a reason.
I have a c220 2005 model, the AC is playing up in mine, it works rarely and the fan rarely engages. The engine stays really warm too altough it is not overheating. What could be the issue? The AC sometimes works so I assume it is not the ac compressor. It must be the cooling fan next to the radiator. What do you think?
i’m having really bad cooling fan problems. at first the fan would turn on at high speeds and it would be like that the whole drive, now it just seemed to stop working all together. i replaced the fan assembly, the wiring has no damage and the fan is still not operational ugh

Is it the fan that makes the loud sound? Sometimes it happens when there is problem with the engine thermostat or the engine water pump is faulty. If there is a problem with the thermostat communicating with the ECU (electronic control unit). Sometimes when the engine runs for a while, it stops and may happen again.
@@benshekari8518 Your technician really needs a good diagnosing tool to check the real problem. Usually the tools will refer you to the problem component with some code name. You can look up the component online to know how it looks. this will make the repairs quicker and simpler.

My coolant begin to boil and increase in level sometime even full, like the coolant in the engine coming back to the coolant tank and not circulating back to the engine.What do you think may be strong? There is a coolant pump below the water can. It seems to be failing. You will need to check with a diagnostic tool to see the component having the issue to very sure. The coolant fan could also be failing...the fuse maybe.

@@greatthings23 There are different levels of diagnostic tool...you will need the one that diagnoses all systems and all cars. Make your choice of product and brand. I use Autel all systems diagnostic tool.
I guess that could be a stored error problem because when you change it with another one and bring back the old one it starts to run normally. It has happened to me before. Try clearing the stored error on your car's AC system then try again.
I don't know if you are talking about the fan of the car - c230 kompressor 203. The motor can't be removed for replacement from the fan without damaging it. Some other models have external motor. You need to check the fuses and try to connect the fan directly to battery to make sure it's damaged before further action is taken.

Used parts can last a long time if you're lucky but there are no guarantees for very long performance. I usually go for used parts with assurance from the seller that it's functional and a return policy. If it doesn't work I return it. If you can get assurance go for it.
Boss I have this same issue with my c230 kompressor. When the car key is on position 2 but the engine not running the fan just starts turning on high speed. Very noisy and it stays that way through out even when driving. Very noisy very annoying 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
The problem could be faulty water pump. There is a water pump externally placed close to the water can. Sometimes when there is a stored error coming from the malfunctioning of that water pump the fan starts to spin at high speed. I once solved mine by changing the water pump. Sometimes it's just the electrical connection to that pump. When you splash water to the connector side of the fan, the fan will spin wildly and later stop working. You really need to use a good diagnostic tool to know the exact component that is faulty.

You need to diagnose the car to know the actual problem. It happened to my car once and it was the external coolant pump fault.
